Aiyu jelly, which is often eaten in summer, used to come from wild Aiyuzi, which grew in the middle and high altitude areas. Later, it was selected and bred by the agricultural improvement farm in Miaoli District (referred to as "Miao Jiaochang"). The Aiyuzi varieties "Miaoli 1" and "Miaoli 2", which can be planted at middle and low elevations, attract many farmers to try. However, when the farmers turned to planting in the field, they found that there was a big gap between the output and the expectation. coupled with the fact that Aiyuzi relied on the unique love jade wasp for pollination, how to attract the wasps to stay was even more difficult.

Lin Jianwen, a farmer, points out that there are three key technologies for planting Aiyu seed, all of which are indispensable, including establishing a stable male plant system, seizing the opportunity to harvest ripe fruit, and cultivating a sufficient number of wasps, especially Aiyu wasps are very afraid of heat. We need a variety of big trees, adjust the temperature of the park, and create a comfortable living environment for wasps. Fan Zhenhai, the first farmer in Taiwan to start growing organic love Yuzi, is optimistic. "nothing is plain sailing, and it is impossible to start farming easily." he stresses that responding to climate change, managing soil fertility, and maintaining the natural ecology are all key.

Farmers reported that the technology transfer contract was unreasonable, and Miao changed the field: assist R & D and invest in technology.

In addition, Lin Mengjun pointed out that the high frequency of fruit drop in the first year of Aiyuzi plant is a normal phenomenon. "Aiyuzi is still adapting to the climate, just like having a child for the first time, it must be easy to be at a loss, and you have to recuperate your body slowly." for farmers to propose to increase the number of bees, she said that in fact, bees should be introduced at a certain time. "it is not right to introduce bees frequently, and only when the sprouting fruits of the park bear fruit can we begin to attract bees." Otherwise, if there is no sprouting fruit, the bees will die as soon as they go in. "she stresses that the number of bees and the number of bees each time should be adjusted according to the planting environment and conditions of the area.

However, at present, Aiyu wasps cannot be raised artificially, and they can only attract bees from the outdoors. "it is indeed a restriction," Miao said. In the future, it will be studied to replace the pollinating insects of Aiyu wasps, hoping to increase the success rate of pollination.

In addition, some farmers report that it is stipulated in the technology transfer contract that the contract should be renewed every five years, and it is unreasonable for farmers to pay a fee to change the field of seedlings. "it is only in the fifth year of technology transfer that there is finally a harvest, but it is not impossible to renew the contract again, but it is not impossible to pay for it. But you have to tell us what the fees are. After all, we belong to non-exclusive technology transfer, and we cannot sell our own seedlings in private."

In this regard, Lin Mengjun explained that the contract renewal fees are mainly used to maintain variety rights, assist personnel to continue to do research and development, and invest in new technologies, and personnel go to the place of origin every year to actually coach farmers, including consulting fees, consultants, and service fees. She also stressed that the technical transformation contracts of most crop varieties are renewed every five years, and they also need to pay again.
