How to tell the difference between Pueraria lobata

Leaf identification: leaves alternate, showing a kidney-shaped or oval shape, with 3 to 7 shallow fissures at the edge.

I. Morphological discrimination

Dauricaria is a perennial herbaceous flower with slender, striated stems, no hair, 2 to 10 mm in diameter, yellow-brown or black-brown surface color, obvious longitudinal grooves, and a hard texture. The twigs are slender cylindrical, green in appearance, curved, up to 50 cm in length, 0.3 to 0.8 cm in diameter, and yellowish brown to dark brown in surface.

II. Leaf identification

Leaves alternate, reniform or ovoid in shape, more rounded, about 5 - 12 cm long, with little variation in width, 3 - 7 shallow slits at the margin, glabrous on both sides, covered with white powder below. Petiole longer, ca. 3 to 10 cm or longer, striate.
