How to distinguish the willow

Leaves: 5-9 cm long, ovate-oblong, pointed at the top, dark green on the leaf surface and light green on the back. Flowers: purplish red, Corolla tube short, 3 mm long, calyx lobes oval.

1. Rhizome

Periploca taproot is cylindrical in shape, the outer skin is grayish brown, the inner skin is pale yellow, and the stem skin is grayish brown. Branchlets are usually opposite and striate.

II. Blade

The leaves are oval, 5-9 cm long and 1.5-2.5 cm wide. Its top is relatively sharp and its bottom is wedge shaped. The leaves are dark green on the front and light green on the back.

III. Flowers

Periploca corolla is purplish red, corolla tube is relatively short, length is 3 mm or so, lobation is oblong-shaped lanceolate. Peduncle and pedicel very thin, calyx lobes ovoid. Its stamens are attached to the inner surface of the corona, which is annular and curved inward at the top.
