A brief introduction to the Design of Bonsai Garden
Professional bonsai gardens tend to concentrate their most conspicuous trees in the garden and are basically at the same level as their eyes, giving tourists a chance to stare at the trees while walking.
The support bar is relatively simple, so the only difficulty is to choose the material. The common materials we have encountered include wooden columns (old railway sleepers or tree trunks), slate and cement columns.
Let's take a look at some bonsai displays in the garden and see if we can find inspiration.
This photo was taken in Tokyo.
The garden is very spacious, this is the central courtyard; the masterpiece trees around it look very conspicuous, these trees are pine trees.
The other photographed the garden, showing more trees, and a pond was full of koi. The edge is made of concrete and is shaped like a tree. The advantage of using concrete is that the columns can be very thin and save space.
The backyard of this bonsai successfully creates a space of limited depth, with columns in the front lower than those in the back. The simple color of the fence makes the trees stand out. I found this picture in StreamLink, but I don't know whose garden it is.
The Chinese bonsai garden will focus on trees with simple materials; it uses a simple background and clean concrete columns. The photo was taken by Paul Thompson.
In one of the most beautiful bonsai gardens, the trees in the photo attract eyeballs. The owner of the garden is Mr. Suzuki. The trees are fixed on the poles. According to the owner, the main purpose is to protect the trees from heavy rain and snow.
It's a bit difficult to build a platform, especially if you want it to last longer than a year or two. You see some photos below, which you can create by yourself. First of all, let's look at a few examples.
This picture was taken in a garden near Osaka.
The bonsai garden was taken in Oakland (photo by aureliak), one of which is a circle made of concrete. The glass roof above protects the trees from rain and snow.
The photo was taken by aureliak. The bottom plate is matched with a sense of clumsiness of the vicissitudes of life, absolutely wonderful.
The bonsai platform is designed by Jeremy Norbury.
