The long history of our country has left us a lot of precious cultural relics, among which those dedicated to the royal family are the most exquisite and valuable. Of course, the cultural relics that the state can find and protect are just a drop in the ocean, and more cultural relics are still scattered among the people and become family heirlooms from generation to generation.

In the northeast in the 1990s, there was an old farmer surnamed Li who also had such an ancient painting heirloom. The old farmer knew full well that he was old, so he prepared to divide the estate early. However, he has seven children, but there is only one of the most valuable ancient paintings. to be fair, the old farmer decided to sell the ancient paintings so that they could be divided after changing the money. After making the decision, Uncle Li bought a train ticket to Beijing the next day. As he himself knew the value of the painting, Uncle Li went straight to the Bureau of Cultural relics and offered to sell the painting to the country at a low price of 8 million.

During this period, Uncle Li also told the origin of this painting, which turned out to be the famous "Ten songs", which was said to be loved by Cixi very much. This painting is a masterpiece left by Zhang Xian, a painter of the Northern Song Dynasty, during his five years in Xining of the Northern Song Dynasty (1072). It depicts the landscape figures, suddenly on paper, the value is also like Davidia involucrata, with the important value of historiography, literature and local cultural history research, can be called a national treasure level of cultural relics.

Uncle Li's ancestor was the bodyguard of Puyi, who still lived in the Imperial Palace after his abdication. In order to abdicate Puyi, the government of the Republic of China promised to give him 4 million taels of silver a year for his expenses. Of course, everything in the Imperial Palace does not belong to him. Unexpectedly, Yuan Shikai fell in the end, and Puyi's money was lost.

In order to make a living, Puyi "rewarded" all the cultural relics in the Imperial Palace to his brother Pujie and secretly asked him to sell. Until Puyi became the puppet emperor of the puppet Manchukuo, the Japanese sent these cultural relics to Puyi to the northeast. After the victory of the War of Resistance against Japan, Puyi fled in fear, and these cultural relics naturally ran out of time and were looted, while Uncle Li's ancestors, as bodyguards, got the "Ten songs" at that time.

To get to the point, the staff of the Bureau of Cultural relics identified it and proved that it was indeed authentic. However, the expert said brazenly that although the painting was real, it was worthless and could sell for about 10,000 yuan at most.

This can make Uncle Li angry, his own offer of 8 million is already very low, experts will be held down to 10, 000! Unconvinced, he turned around and found an auction house. After the appraisal and publicity of the auction house, the fame of this ancient painting was completely established, and all the big shots came to participate in the auction at that time. In the end, the "Ten songs" was sold by the Imperial Palace Museum for a sky-high price of 18 million, and it paid an extra 10% commission, totaling 19.8 million.

Fortunately, Uncle Li is more careful, and there is a gap of thousands of times. However, in recent years, China's cultural relics protection work has gradually become more formal, I believe this will not happen again!
