Under normal circumstances, vegetable farmers often use direct seeding to grow over-summer cucumbers, thinking that the temperature in summer is high, so there is no need to raise seedlings, and it is more troublesome to raise seedlings. According to the author's experience for many years, in fact, growing summer cucumber seedlings is much better than direct seeding. Specifically, it has the following two major advantages: first, it is conducive to early planting and early listing, and vegetable farmers can raise seedlings about 25 days before the last crop harvest. The second is to enhance plant resistance, delay plant premature senescence and significantly increase yield. Next, the key points of summer cucumber seedling raising techniques are introduced to vegetable farmers. The first is to prepare nutritious soil. Select the pastoral soil that has not planted cucumber for 2 or 3 years, mix it with 600.80kg of fully mature organic fertilizer (pig manure, cow manure, rabbit manure, etc.), 1kg of compound fertilizer and 40g of carbendazim per cubic meter of nutritious soil, and mix it evenly. Then put it into an 8cm × 10cm nutrition bowl and pay attention to filling it seven minutes full. The second is precision sowing. Soak the cucumber seeds in clean water for 3-4 hours before sowing, then remove them, wrap them in wet towels, put them in a small plastic bag, and put them in a cool place to germinate. After about 12-14 hours, sow the seeds after opening their mouths and exposing them. Before sowing, sow the nutrition bowl thoroughly, then put the seeds flat in the nutrition bowl, put two seeds in each bowl, the two seeds should be separated (two seedlings in one bowl, break two into two seedlings when planting), and finally cover 1 cm thick sifted fine soil. The third is seedling management. Keep the soil moisture in the nutrition bowl. within 48 hours after sowing, in case of hot weather, shade with shading net or covered with bowl noodles should be used. After the seedling is unearthed, pay attention to watering, it should be dry and wet. Ten days before planting, rearrange the nutrition bowl, put the neat seedlings together, and widen the distance between the bowl and the bowl. When the seedlings grow to a height of 8 cm to 10 cm, they are planted.
