Open the concave end of the selected lotus seed, file it open with a file, or grind a hole on the concrete floor, then put the open lotus seed into a container filled with water, change the water in the morning and evening, and sprout will grow after a week. When the sprouts grow to 10 cm, plant them in a container prepared in advance for river mud conservation.

Preparation before sowing

Choose a good lotus seed, to distinguish the growth direction of the lotus seed bud, one end of the lotus seed is a small bulge, the other end is a small concave point, this concave point side is the future bud growth direction. The shell of lotus seed is very hard, it is difficult to peel it, so you can file it open or grind a hole directly on the concrete floor, but be careful not to destroy the fruit inside the lotus seed, and open the concave end when opening.

II. Soaking germination

After opening the lotus seeds, soak them in a container filled with water. Change the water once a day in the morning and evening. After about a week, sprouts will grow.

III. Transplantation and fixed planting

Wait until 10 days later, the lotus seed sprouts grow to about 10 cm, you can transplant. Prepare a container, add river mud to the container, put the sprouted lotus seeds into the river mud, and gently add water, the water surface can be 2 to 3 cm above the surface of the river mud, pay attention to the lotus seed buds exposed to the water surface. In the case of sufficient sunshine, lotus leaves will grow in one month.
