Tomato hollow fruit refers to the tomato with a gap between the pulp and the cavity of the fruit. The hollow fruits with light degree still have low commodity value, while those with heavy degree have no commodity value. Therefore, to reduce the occurrence of tomato hollow fruit should attract the attention of vegetable farmers. The seedlings whose buds are easy to fall off generally have poor root development, a small number of roots, weak assimilation and the use of growth hormone to promote fruit setting, which is easy to produce hollow fruit. If the number of fruit set is reduced, the occurrence of empty fruit will be reduced. The plant has a good flower bud, due to injury during transplantation, the formation of aging seedlings, after planting in the field, the root system is not well developed, which is easy to cause leaf aging and weakening assimilation. According to the growth potential of the plant, sitting the fruit in proportion and promoting the fruit to expand slowly and provide sufficient nutrients can reduce the occurrence of hollow fruit. When the leaf area is small, the first inflorescence sets a large number of fruit, and the fruit at the bottom of the plant, the assimilation nutrients required are supplied by the whole plant, and the hollow fruit is less. However, the upper fruit will get less assimilation nutrients and will form a hollow fruit. When the assimilation nutrients are insufficient, the fruit can not be expanded well, and when the nutrients are very little, the fruit cannot be set at all. According to different environmental conditions, some fruits can be removed to increase the relative leaf area, so as to increase assimilation nutrients and prevent the emergence of hollow fruits. In the same inflorescence, the lack of flowering time from the first flower to the sixth flower will lead to competition for assimilation nutrients among fruits, and late flowering fruits will form hollow fruits, so on the same inflorescence, three or four flowers that bloom at the same time should be treated with growth stimulating hormone. When there is more nitrogen fertilizer, more water and high temperature at night, the flowering date is easy to be uneven. On the contrary, when the soil is slightly dry and the temperature is low at night, the flowers bloom more neatly. When the temperature is high at night, especially after applying nitrogen fertilizer and watering, most of the assimilated nutrients are distributed to the plants, while the fruits are rarely distributed. In this case, it is necessary to pick the heart. In addition, we should use less plant growth regulators to promote fruit setting, mainly artificial pollination, supplemented by growth regulators. In the case of ensuring a certain number of fruit, reduce the use of growth regulators, reduce the amount of growth regulators into the plant, it is best not to use high concentrations of growth regulators to deal with immature flowers.
