Strawberries only grow stems and do not bear fruit, which is directly related to the formation of flower buds, because strawberries can blossom and bear fruit only when they form flower buds. If there is an obstacle to the formation of flower buds, it will lead to the phenomenon of no fruit. The following is to analyze the factors affecting the flower bud formation of strawberry from both internal and external factors. (1) Internal factors: 1. Variety characteristics. The flower bud differentiation, flower bud number and flower bud number of varieties with different mature stages were different sooner or later. 2. Nutrients. Plant nutritional status is closely related to flower bud formation. During the period of flower bud differentiation, sufficient carbohydrate (C), proper nitrogen nutrition (N) and the increase of C / N ratio were beneficial to flower bud differentiation. On the contrary, when C / C / N ratio was lower, flower bud differentiation was later. The flower bud differentiation stage of strong seedlings was earlier than that of weak seedlings, and the number of florets increased accordingly. Excessive nitrogen and exuberant vegetative growth are not conducive to flower bud differentiation. 3. Growth regulators. The growth regulators are mainly endogenous hormones. Flower bud differentiation is the result of the interaction between hormones that promote flower bud differentiation and hormones that inhibit flower bud differentiation. Generally speaking, growth-promoting hormones, such as gibberellin and auxin, are not conducive to flower bud differentiation, while growth-inhibiting hormones such as abscisic acid and cytokinins can promote flower bud differentiation. (2) external factors: 1. temperature and light. Temperature and light affect the physiological processes of photosynthesis and respiration of strawberry, related to the production and accumulation of carbon nutrition, and affect the formation of flower buds. Flower bud formation was induced by low temperature and short sunshine. Most strawberry varieties begin flower bud differentiation when the daily average temperature is below 20 ℃ and the sunshine is shortened to less than 12 hours. However, the differentiation was faster in 10 ℃ 17 min and 10 h short sunshine. 2. Fertilization and watering. The flower bud differentiation of the same variety will be delayed due to excessive nitrogen fertilizer, too much watering and precipitation, strong vegetative growth potential, excessive growth or too many plant leaves and insufficient leaves. Try not to irrigate too much water and apply too much nitrogen fertilizer, so as not to make the plants grow greedily and accumulate less nutrients, thus affecting the quality of flower bud differentiation. 3. Plant growth regulators. Artificial spraying of gibberellin could inhibit flower bud differentiation, while plant growth inhibitors and inhibitors, such as dwarf, paclobutrazol and abscisic acid, could inhibit plant growth and promote flower bud differentiation. 4. Picking leaves. The experiment shows that picking leaves of strawberry seedlings can induce flowers, and the effect of removing old leaves is more obvious than that of new leaves. The analysis shows that there are more flower formation inhibitory substances in old leaves, which can be reduced after removal; removal of old leaves can reduce the consumption of nutrients, increase accumulation, thus promote flower bud differentiation; leaf picking should be moderate in production.
