With the progress and development of the times, many people began to focus on growing flowers to improve the quality of life, especially orchids, blooming fragrance, color is also extremely beautiful, so flower friends especially like to put it on their own balcony to watch.

However, in the process of cultivating orchids, there is often a "empty root" phenomenon, which can worry the flower friends. Orchids have this phenomenon, mainly because of improper maintenance, if orchids can grow healthily, we need to correct some wrong maintenance methods, the following four tips, after use, the "empty root" is no longer available, when the flowers bloom.

Step 1: put an end to "half of the water"

We all know that watering should be enough, if the watering only reaches the upper part of the basin soil, and the lower part is not soaked, a "half of the water" is formed. This watering method will cause the orchid root not to absorb enough water, the leaves will begin to wither, the flowers will be difficult to bloom, and the empty root is inevitable.

Therefore, in order to avoid these phenomena in the process of orchid growth, it is necessary to follow the method of "watering as soon as you dry, watering thoroughly". If you do not know whether the basin soil has been thoroughly watered, you can tie it to the bottom of the basin with a small wooden stick and tie it a few more times. if there is some wet soil on the stick each time, it means it has been thoroughly watered. But be careful not to hurt the root, prick it gently, and then take it out gently.

The second trick: put an end to "consolidated soil"

If the surface of the basin soil is lack of organic matter, or the structure is poor, and the soil feels very hard with the touch, it is the soil slab. Once the potted soil is hardened, it is not easy to flow to the roots of the orchid when watered, and the orchid will be short of water and not breathable.

Therefore, in order to avoid this phenomenon, we need to choose loose and breathable nutrient soil. Nutritious soil can be prepared by itself and mixed with garden soil, coconut bran soil and perlite.

Stirring tools can be used with a wooden shovel or a shovel. Soak in alcohol for three minutes before use, and then take it out to dry. Wait until it is dried and then used to stir. If the three kinds of soil are mixed evenly, they will accumulate to a sunny place to expose themselves for 3 days.

The third trick: put an end to "lack of nutrients"

If the orchid does not absorb enough nutrients in the process of growth, it will not blossom, leaf Yan, empty root and so on. In order to make the orchid better absorb and grow, it needs to apply some fertilizer and supplement nutrients. The fertilizer can be used with a special nutrient solution for orchids, every 9 days, one drop at a time.

Step 4: put an end to "big exposure"

If the orchid is exposed to the strong sun, and the water content of the pot soil is insufficient, the leaves will be burned, the roots will be dry for a long time, and empty roots will be formed, affecting the growth of the orchids.

Therefore, when the sun is high, the orchid potted plants should be moved indoors to avoid the summer heat, or take a sunshade cloth to cover the soil so that the soil will not be baked by the hot sun and is too dry.

The above is the way to avoid the "empty root" of orchids, as long as the maintenance of orchids in this way, basically no problem.
