Mung bean, also known as green adzuki bean, gets its name because of its green color. It has been cultivated in China for more than 2000 years. Because of its rich nutrition and many uses, Li Shizhen called it "the best dish". But although it is nutritious and popular, the storage of mung beans is a headache. Because if the original intact mung bean is not preserved properly, it is easy to be harmed by the mung bean elephant. Mung bean elephant, also known as "bean cow", it propagates rapidly, has a strong destructive power, and does great harm to mung bean, so the key to the safe storage of mung bean is to destroy the mung bean elephant. The reporter interviewed Gao Xiaoli, doctor and associate professor of crop cultivation and farming in the School of Agriculture, Northwest Agriculture and Forestry University, and she gave some suggestions on how to kill the mung bean elephant in winter. The low temperature treatment uses the natural low temperature to kill the larvae in severe winter to choose the sunny and cold weather after the strong cold wave passes through. The mung beans are spread into a thin layer about 6-7 cm thick on the cement yard and turned every 3-4 hours. The shed cloth with a height of 1.5 meters is covered at night, which can not only prevent frost dew, but also conducive to radiation cooling. After 5 days and nights, remove frozen insect bodies and impurities, while cold into the warehouse, close the doors and windows. The purpose of freezing to death of larvae can be achieved. Use refrigerator, freezer or freezer to disinfect mung beans into a cloth bag, fasten the mouth of the bag and place it in the freezer. The temperature is controlled below-10 ℃, and the larvae can be frozen to death in 24 hours. This method can also be used for other legumes. When the treatment temperature of aluminum phosphide is 25 ℃, 1 cubic meter of mung beans are fumigated with aluminum phosphide for 3-5 days, then exposed to the sun for 2 days, filled with wheat bran, pressed, tightly sealed, and the insecticidal rate can reach 98% 100% after 15 days, and the control effect is the best. This can not only kill insects and eggs, but also do not affect the germ activity and consumption of mung bean. Note that it must be tightly sealed to ensure the dryness of the place. Alcohol fumigation with one or two alcohol into the small cup, the small cup into the mung bean bucket, sealed, 1 week after the alcohol volatilization can kill the bugs. Dichlorvos fumigation put dichlorvos in vials, sealed with gauze and placed on the surface of mung beans. After 5-7 days, take out dichlorvos bottles and keep them sealed. The insecticidal rate of this method is over 95%. For every 100 kilograms of mung beans stored, use 10 milliliters of 80% dichlorvos EC. On the issue of storage of pest-killed mung beans, Gao Xiaoli particularly stressed that mung beans after pest control should be stored in isolation and sealed, so as to prevent foreign insect sources from laying eggs again.
