It is very important to give orchids five steps in autumn, not rotting roots, rejuvenating and sprouting quickly.
For the love of orchids, perhaps only the orchid friends can know. Just after the hot summer, how much bluegrass do you have left in your home? Recently, I chatted with an old Lan friend, and I could feel his slight sadness through the mobile phone screen, because he had lost a lot of varieties this summer. For many masters of Orchid, these are all necessary experiences.
It is gratifying that now we can give orchid ramets again in autumn. He said that we should take advantage of now to do a good ramet of some varieties suitable for ramets, raise them well, and strive to make up for all the varieties that have returned to the grass. This is the old Lanyou's big treasure, growing well, now there are 20 plants, want a pot to change a lot of pots, ramet when every detail should be done.
Why did you choose to ramet in autumn? After entering September, the flower bud of the orchid has been formed, and at this time the orchid has changed from reproductive growth to vegetative growth. At this time, the new leaf bud of the orchid has not yet been formed, and turning the disk at this time can stimulate the orchid to grow new bud points.
The steps of ramet
Step 1: ramet. Do not water for a week before the ramet, and do not let the soil mass spread when the pot soil is separated from the basin, so as to ensure that the root system of the orchid will not be damaged. Then use sterilized scissors to trim the yellow leaves, rotten old roots, and bracts. From the relatively large clumps of orchid plants, find the wide gap between the two false bulbs, find a place where it is easier to loosen, cut it, and apply a small amount of charcoal and sulfur powder to prevent the orchid's wound from rotting. In this step, it should be noted that each ramet of the cut orchid should have at least 3 false bulbs.
Step 2: disinfect and dry the roots. Many orchid masters feel that this step can be ignored when doing ramets. Personally, I think it would be better to rejuvenate bluegrass faster. Soak all the pruned orchid plants in disinfectant until you see that the roots become white and soft, then you can take them out and cool them in a ventilated place with scattered light. The benefits of drying roots have been mentioned in the previous article. Orchid friends who don't understand can go and have a look.
Step 3: flowerpots and plant materials. Choose the flowerpot according to the size of the orchid plant, the material had better be purple sand ha, match with the orchid, the air permeability is good. Spread a layer of broken brick or cinder at the bottom of the basin, accounting for about 1/3 of the basin height, which is conducive to drainage and ventilation.
Plant material is the main source of nutrients absorbed by orchids, and the quality of plants directly affects the growth of orchids. The principle of selecting plant material is: the combination of soft and hard, moisturizing and fertilizing. Some orchid masters will choose to mix their own planting materials, such as a mixture of bark blocks, volcanic rock fragments, coconut shells, and so on; there are also orchid friends who directly buy orchid special soil online, which can be used directly. This old orchid friend directly bought this chestnut leaf planting material, and raised it very well.
Step 4: put on the basin. As long as it has been planted basically, I will talk about it in detail here. As long as you pay attention to shaking the basin wall while putting on the pot, let the plant closely fit with the root system of the orchid, so as to prevent the air root. When adding culture soil to the root, lift the orchid up gently so that the root system of the orchid can be fully stretched in the basin. Finally, spread a layer of gold stone or ceramsite on the top of the basin.
Step 5: pour the root water. When watering for the first time, water slowly along the edge of the basin with a small amount of water, and then stop watering when the water comes out of the hole at the bottom of the basin. After 5 minutes, repeat the first action and pour water again the third time. Watering is divided into three times, so that the plant can fully absorb water. Disrelish 3 times troublesome also can use soak basin legal root, the same truth.
After the orchid basin, we can give the orchid this water, orchids love to eat, eat happily on the leaves Xiuhua fragrance. This "water" is an organic nutrient solution for orchids, which is designed for the fleshy roots of orchids, which can quickly rejuvenate orchids and sprout new buds in the coming year.
