Prepare cleaning utensils

2. Removal of seaweed

Third, change water

The seawater fish tank only needs to change the water every two weeks, and each change of 10% of the water is enough to remove nitrate from the water. Siphon can be used to suck out the old water, the operation is very simple.

Fourth, clean the bottom sand

Most of the feces, food residues and other debris of marine ornamental fish are buried deep in the bottom sand and are not easy to clean up. The siphon bottom sand cleaner can be extended into the bottom sand to absorb. If the marine ornamental fish is small or delicate, put clean stockings at the end of the siphon to prevent damage to the fish.

Fifth, clean decorations

The most effective way is to remove the ornament from the fish tank and soak it in water containing 10% bleaching solvent for 15 minutes. Then rinse with clean water and put them back in the fish tank after they are air-dried. If there are stubborn stains, you can use seaweed cleaning pad or a clean soft toothbrush to remove.

Check the creep of salt

When the sea water evaporates to the top of the fish tank, it will leave a hard shell-like residue, which is salt creep, indicating that the fish tank needs to be replenished with water.

The filling of seawater fish tank is more complex than that of fresh water fish tank, and each value of water temperature, salinity and pH value is related to the health of fish. First prepare distilled water or reverse osmosis water, heat it with a special water heater and add mixed salt. Some fishers have recommended a good experience, brine blending is to add about 135 milligrams of mixed salt per 3.8 liters of water, and use a salinity probe to check the salinity, the ideal reading is 1.021-1.025.
