Buckwheat is a good crop for filling leisure and disaster relief because of its short growth period, strong adaptability, moderate yield and high nutritional value, and can be planted from south to north in our province. Experts remind that the south area along the Yangtze River in our province can be sown around the middle of August, and it is suitable for the region along the Huaihe River to be in the first and middle of August. Buckwheat varieties with strong stress resistance with a growth period of 70-80 days should be selected, such as sweet buckwheat No. 1, sweet buckwheat No. 2, Tartary buckwheat with small safflower and so on. The suitable application of phosphorus and potassium fertilizer can significantly increase the yield of buckwheat. Generally, when sowing, 3 kilograms of diammonium phosphate is applied per mu, and an appropriate amount of high-quality organic fertilizer is added. When applying, we should pay attention to separate the chemical fertilizer from the seeds to prevent burning seedlings. In terms of sowing methods, there are mainly three kinds of sowing: sowing, on-demand sowing and strip sowing. Buckwheat should be ditched and drained when sowing to prevent waterlogging and death of seedlings. In case of drought in the seedling stage, it is necessary to moisten the soil moisture by ditch irrigation in time, or sprinkle dilute dung water in the morning and evening before emergence. Before Frosts Descent, when 70% of the seeds of the whole plant were dark brown, they should be harvested early and late, and bundled or tied up, and placed indoors, so that buckwheat was fully ripened.
