The leaves of tortoise back bamboo are very large, and it is a very beautiful foliage plant. Many flower friends will prune it to prevent it from overgrowing and other problems. However, do not throw away the pruned branches, you can cut them.

Choose the cut branches, pay attention to the aerial roots above, and have two or three bud points, so that in the process of cutting, it is easier to survive.

The cut branch should not be cut in a hurry, but should be put in a cool place to dry, so as to avoid wound infection.

Using rotten leaf soil or garden soil, which is mixed with vermiculite or river sand, can be used for cutting, without the need for special preparation of soil.

After that, make a small hole in the soil with a hard stick or something, and insert the branches of the turtle's back bamboo, not too deep, three or four centimeters on it.

Pour it thoroughly with water and keep it in a cool, ventilated place for maintenance. In normal times, we should pay attention to keep its basin soil and surrounding environment moist.

When the temperature is kept between 20 and 25 degrees, it can reduce the time for the bamboo branches to take root, and pay attention to the temperature not lower than 10 degrees, otherwise its incision will be difficult to heal and will affect its survival.

After about a month or so, roots will grow. If you don't know how to judge its root system, you can see if it has axillary buds, which means it has roots.
