Last Updated: 2024/11/06, Loquat gray leaf spot is the main disease of loquat, which mainly harms leaves and fruits. The initial lesion of the leaf showed a yellowish dot, and then expanded rapidly, forming an irregular large spot, with an obvious black band on the edge. The fruit is damaged, forming a round, purple-brown spot, which will soon be sunken and grow on the spot in the later stage.

Loquat soot is induced by aphids, scale, whitefly and other secretions. Symptoms: it does not invade the dark brown mildew layer of host tissue on the surface of leaves, fruit surfaces and branches. When it first happened, there were only mildew spots. Then expand to form a fluffy shape. Affect leaf photosynthesis and fruit coloring, and weaken the tree potential. Prevention and control methods: (1) spray turpentine: 10 times in winter and spring, 14-16 times in summer and autumn, or 50 times in diesel emulsion. Kill not only scale, whitefly and other pests, but also soot pathogen. (2) at the beginning of the disease, spray 0.3% 0.5% lime excess Bordeaux liquid. (4) do a good job of pruning and pruning to make the crown transparent and reduce the disease.
