Last Updated: 2024/11/05, Symptoms: tomato bacterial spot disease, also known as bacterial microspot disease. It mainly harms leaves, stems, flowers, petioles and fruits, especially the leaf margin and immature fruits. Leaves are infected with dark brown to black spots, often surrounded by yellow halos; petioles and stems are infected with black spots; young green fruits are infected with disease.

The method of single dry pruning is generally suitable for large fruit tomatoes. Single pruning means that only one trunk is left for each plant, and all the lateral branches are removed one after another. It is common to pick the heart when each plant has 5-7 ears. When picking the heart, it usually leaves 2 or 3 leaves on the upper part of the last ear, otherwise it will seriously affect the normal growth of the uppermost ear, and even cause falling flowers and fruits. The method of double-stem pruning is often used in cherry tomato varieties. Double trunk pruning is on the basis of single trunk pruning, another side branch is selected as the second trunk, or the trunk is picked out at the seedling stage, and two side branches are selected as the trunk at the same time, and other management is the same as single pruning.
