The cultivation of red bayberry in greenhouse is a new technology which can mature earlier, seize the market and obtain high benefit. The main points are introduced as follows: (1) the location and method of building shed. In the gentle part of the slope, early-maturing red bayberry varieties were selected, the tree age was about 10-20 years old, and the canopy was relatively small in the high-yield and stable yield garden. Each shed covers an area of about 0.5-0.7 mu, 12-22 bayberry plants are planted in each shed, and it is best to have a male bayberry in each shed. If there is no male plant, a single male tree can be built in a shed to promote flowers for pollination. The greenhouse can be made of a round iron frame with a diameter of 1 cm, or a bamboo frame can be used to build it. The height of the shed should exceed 1 meter of the crown to prevent sunburn. The film is a common vegetable film with an inner thickness of 0.6 to 0.7 mm, a width of 8 meters and a transparency of 85%. (2) Management. 1. Temperature. At present, Waxberry has completed flower bud differentiation and development. The film can be covered in the near future. Hang a thermometer in the four corners and one in the center of the shed in order to observe the rise and fall of the temperature in the shed. The film should be sealed in the whole shed from January to February in order to increase the temperature in the greenhouse and promote the germination and flowering of red bayberry. From March to April, when the temperature in the greenhouse exceeds 30 ℃, the film should be opened to cool down to prevent sunburn of leaves and fruits. After the middle of April, the temperature in the open field has been high, so the film can be opened to reduce the effect of greenhouse environment on fruit quality. 2. Artificial pollination and fruit thinning. The red bayberry in the greenhouse begins to blossom in early February. When the flower is in full bloom, the male flower branch in the greenhouse is picked, and the male flower branch or male flower branch is tied to the small bamboo and shakes on each female flower. When the diameter of the young fruit reaches 0.5 cm, the artificial fruit thinning begins, and the fruit thinning period ends. 3. Others. In case of less rain, the shed should be irrigated (irrigated) in time to prevent drought to ensure the moisture requirements for fruit growth and development. Fertilization, disease control and other operations are the same as routine management. (3) Economic benefits. In Chashan, Wenzhou, the greenhouse red bayberry covered with film at the end of December or early January of the following year began to mature around May 15, and finished on May 30, which was 15-20 days earlier than that of open field cultivation. At that time, the price was about 50 yuan per kilogram, and the income per shed reached 1.5-20000 yuan.
