Calves are newborn calves. At this stage, their physique is very weak, so they need to be very careful in raising calves. Many farmers have personally raised calves, but there are always some minor problems in the process of breeding. Thus affecting the growth of calves, let's follow the editor today to see what we need to pay attention to in the process of calf breeding.

1. Feeding and management

Feeding and management is very important, it not only affects the normal growth of calves, but also has a great impact on the subsequent growth and development, in feeding and management is mainly divided into three stages, the first stage is the colostrum stage, we have to help calves eat colostrum after birth, the second is to prevent cows from getting up or lying down will press the calves, at this stage we usually watch. The second stage is the feeding period, that is, the calves will slowly pick up and eat next to the cow. at this time, we have to feed some calf formula feed, and at the same time, we have to force it to eat some which are highly dependent on breast milk, and the last stage is the weaning period. at least a month later, we should pay attention to feeding at least seven or eight times a day, while ensuring the quality of the feed. This will not lead to malnutrition after weaning.

2. Sanitary environment

Because the physique of calves is relatively weak, the sanitary environment in the farm must be cleaned, and the farm and feed trough and flume should be disinfected irregularly, and the air circulation in the farm should be maintained. But we should also pay attention to the appropriate temperature. If the hygiene in the farm is not good, there will be a large number of bacteria, which will make the calves weaker and cause a lot of diseases.

3. Daily management

After every time the calf has finished eating, remember to wipe its mouth and nose clean. Secondly, whether during lactation or after weaning, they must be provided with adequate drinking water, which is beneficial to the calf's metabolism. Finally, the calf's growth period should not limit its exercise. On the contrary, there must be a certain amount of exercise every day to promote digestion and strengthen the body.

4. Pest control

The most common diseases in the growing period of calves are colds, licking and indigestion. For these common diseases, we usually achieve a preventive effect by strengthening daily management and feeding management. if the disease occurs, cold granules, vaccination and Xiaoshi tablets can be used to prevent and cure the disease. The most common pest is parasites, so it can be prevented and treated by brushing the body of calves in peacetime, and special insecticide feeding can be used if necessary.
