Now that autumn is coming, and it is also the best season for orchids to grow, flower friends are busy planning to buy orchid seedlings for planting. After planting, they imagine that orchids can grow and blossom healthily.

But orchids are growing, but they always rot. What on earth is the reason? In fact, the occurrence of this situation, there are three main reasons for mistakes, if you make the following "three points" mistakes, the roots will rot.

Point 1: close the window to isolate and infect the root system

Some flower lovers plant orchids in a relatively dry environment, in which orchids grow slowly. At this time, I was in a hurry, thinking of closing the window to increase the humidity in the air. Although it is autumn, but the weather is still relatively muggy, not only did not improve the humidity of the window, orchid seedlings also rotted first, it is really sad.

We can sprinkle some water droplets in the air, and if the weather is too muggy, we should water less. In rainy weather, if there is stagnant water in the basin, we can open a few small holes in the basin wall to let the excess water overflow naturally.

Ventilation is very important for orchids, no matter how dry the air is, it can not reduce the ventilation of orchids, otherwise it is very easy to breed germs and infect roots, and root rot is inevitable. If you are in a house, you should open the window every day. If the air volume is too small to meet the ventilation conditions, you can use an electric fan to vent the air.

Point 2: improper use of "fertilizer" will cause root rot.

Autumn is the time for orchids to sprout and blossom. When some flower friends see that other people's orchids are already in full bloom, there is no movement in their own family, and they are eager to use some things to promote flower growth, such as phosphorus and potash fertilizer and homemade fertilizer. If you use unfermented homemade fertilizer, there will be some conditions, such as rotten seedlings and burning roots, and the loss will outweigh the gain.

But if you really want to use homemade fertilizer, you can use grape skins, fish scales and tomatoes, which are good fertilizers. Grape skins and fish scales can be dried and ground into powder, then put into a bowl, the weight of a bowl can be sprayed with 1000 milliliters of water. Tomatoes should be chopped into small pieces and mixed into the soil, not too close to the root system.

If you want to promote orchid blossom, you can replenish the organic nutrient solution that will not burn roots, which is fermented with bagasse, and the method of use is very simple, as long as 2 drops are shaken and sprayed in 600 ml of water, which can promote the growth of orchids in an all-round way.

Point 3: do not take "antiseptic" measures to breed bacteria

Although summer has passed, there is still a hidden danger in autumn, and it is also a frequent stage of orchid seedling decay. If antiseptic measures are not taken, the whole orchid may be wiped out. Therefore, in order for the orchid to survive this dangerous period more safely, we need to take corresponding anticorrosive measures for it.

In general, it is OK to use some carbendazim, but the amount used for seedlings of different sizes is different. Large seedlings can be diluted 800x with water and seedlings can be diluted 1000 times with water. Usually pay more attention to the sanitary conditions of the orchid living environment, fixed every period of time to clean up the garbage near the orchid, so as not to cause root rot caused by bacteria.

Xiao Hu warmly reminds flower friends that you should pay attention to the above three mistakes, or the orchid seedlings will rot, of course, as long as you don't make these mistakes, the flowers will bloom naturally!
