During the cultivation of Pleurotus eryngii, the mushroom farmers did not take the necessary bud thinning in time, which led to the growth of many small mushroom buds on both sides of the bag after primordium differentiation. However, due to the limitation of nutrition and space, most of these mushroom buds can not grow into commercial mushrooms and lose their commercial value. Therefore, after the primordium differentiation of Pleurotus eryngii, bud thinning must be carried out in time to avoid wasting nutrition. The principle of thinning buds is to select buds with good location, normal shape and similar size, leaving 5 buds on each side. When the fruiting body grows to about two centimeters, another selection should be made, leaving 2-3 buds on each side. In this way, it can ensure that Pleurotus eryngii grows up and has high commodity value.
