Last Updated: 2024/11/10, First, to grasp the best mushroom production period of Pleurotus eryngii has been cultivated in Panjin, Liaoning Province for several years. The experience gained is that the most suitable period for producing Pleurotus eryngii in the local mushroom shed is from the beginning of March to the end of April in spring, from late September to early November in autumn, in the absence of heating facilities.

Control the ambient temperature to keep the ambient temperature within the growth range as far as possible. The growth temperature of Pleurotus eryngii is 6 ℃ ~ 25 ℃, and the growth of Pleurotus eryngii is slow at 6 ℃ ~ 15 ℃, but the mushroom has fine tissue and beautiful color, so it can cultivate high quality mushrooms. To control the environmental humidity, the environmental humidity should not be too high. Under the temperature of 6 ℃ ~ 15 ℃, the mushroom shed should be sprayed with water once or twice a day. Soil mulching cultivation does not need to spray water every day, and can be flexibly controlled according to the change of external air temperature. Keep the relative humidity of the air at about 80%. Pay attention to strengthening ventilation in the environment of 6 ℃ ~ 15 ℃, it is usually 1-3 hours a day, and it can be ventilated at noon or in the afternoon. Especially in the cold winter, it is necessary to prevent freezing injury caused by the low temperature of the mushroom farm caused by ventilation at night. When the temperature of light is below 15 ℃, direct sunlight does not affect the growth of mushroom and its color does not change, but in the case of high temperature, strong light will make the mushroom yellowing and deteriorating. The standard body of high-quality mushrooms is smooth, free of miscellaneous colors, rod-shaped or bowling ball-shaped, with a weight of more than 50 grams and less than 200 grams, a cap diameter of 2 centimeters, a thickness of 1 centimeters and a stalk of more than 5 centimeters. To cultivate Pleurotus eryngii according to this standard, the following work needs to be done: 1. Mushroom bud stage sparse mushroom. According to the quality standard, it is best to leave only 1 or 2 mushroom buds at the mushroom end of each bag. 2. Strengthen ventilation. Only by strengthening ventilation can we promote the growth and development of cap and inhibit the growth of stalk. 3. Reduce water consumption during mushroom period. Excessive water consumption during the mushroom period will lead to excessive water content of the mushroom, resulting in dark stripes or cracks on the surface of the mushroom body, thus affecting the quality of the mushroom. 4. Harvest in advance. Picking mushrooms 3-5 days in advance can maintain the whiteness of the mushroom body and prevent the mushroom body from yellowing during storage and transportation. 6. The harvest standard of Pleurotus eryngii: the fruiting body of Pleurotus eryngii was harvested in medium well, when the appearance of the mushroom was dense and elastic, the inner roll of the cap was hemispherical, and the fold had not yet been formed. The quality will be decreased and the storage period will be shortened when the cover is flat, the fold is formed and harvested close to maturity.
