The difference between leaf banyan and banyan tree

Leaves of opposite banyan are usually opposite, thickly papery, ovate-oblong, 10 to 25 cm long and 5 to 10 cm wide, leaves entire or with obtuse teeth, apex acute or mucronate, base rounded or subcuneate, surface rough, abaxially covered with gray coarse villi, petiole 1 to 4 cm long.

Banyan leaves are thin leathery, narrowly oval, 4 to 8 cm long, 3 to 4 cm wide, apex obtusely pointed, base cuneate, dark green surface, entire leaves, glossy surface.

II. Differences between fruits

The figs are axillary or on deciduous branches, or on vertical branches from the old stem, in the shape of a gyro, yellow at maturity, 1.5 to 2.5 cm in diameter, scattered lateral bracts and hirsute.

Banyan figs grow in pairs in axils or in axils of fallen leaves, yellow or reddish, oblate, 6 to 8 mm in diameter.
