Last Updated: 2024/11/25, Leaf difference: the leaf of the root of soya bean is thickly papery, oval, the apex of the leaf is short acuminate or obtusely rounded; the leaf of honeysuckle is papery, ovoid or rectangular-shaped. Flower differences: pea root raceme, Corolla white, petals oblong; honeysuckle pedicel in the axils, Corolla white, and finally turn yellow.

1. The difference between leaves

The leaves of Sophora tonkinensis have only 3 leaflets, petioles 4 to 4.5 cm long, long with short hairs, leaflets are thick paper, elliptic, 8 to 9.5 cm long and 3 to 5 cm wide, the apex of the leaves is short acuminate or obtuse, and the base is broadly cuneate.

Honeysuckle leaves are papery, ovate or oblong, pointed or gradually pointed at the top, rounded or sub-cordate at the base.

Second, the difference between flowers

The racemes of Sophora tonkinensis are 6 to 10.5 cm long, the total pedicels are 3 to 3.5 cm long, the pedicels are 0.5 to 0.7 cm long, all of them are pubescent, the calyx is cup-shaped, the lobes are obtuse triangular, the corolla is white, and the flag petals are oblong.

The pedicel of honeysuckle is usually solitary at the upper leaf axil of the twig. The corolla is white, sometimes slightly red at the base, and eventually turns yellow.
