The difference between vegetable melon and cucumber

I. difference between leaves

The leaves of watermelon are alternate, the leaves are oval or reniform, and the width is about equal to the length.

Cucumber petiole is thicker, with rough hirsute, about 10 to 16 cm long, leaf blade is broadly ovate-cordate, membranous, length and width are about 7 to 20 cm, both sides of the leaf are rough and hard tomentose. Leaves with 3 to 5 angles or lobes, lobes triangular, serrate, apex acute or semiacute, base curved semicircular.

III. Differences between fruits

Vegetable melon fruit is fleshy, cylindrical or oval, the skin is smooth, with long lines, the pericarp is green-white or light green, the flesh is white or light green, the flesh is juicy and crisp.

Cucumber fruit is oblong, 10 to 30 cm long, yellowish green, the surface is not smooth, with prickly verrucous protuberances.
