Last Updated: 2024/09/19, Eucalyptus red leaf blight is a physiological disease, which is mainly caused by the serious lack of B, one of the trace elements necessary for normal plant growth and seed setting. Etiology: B affects carbohydrate synthesis and transport, cell division, cell maturation, cell wall and pollen tube formation in the process of plant growth and flowering.

After Eucalyptus planting, slow seedling, in Eucalyptus growth period, must be timely to bud forest topdressing. Compound fertilizer (water-soluble chemical fertilizer) is usually applied once in the first, third and fifth years after transplanting. If economic conditions permit, or in order to promote eucalyptus early maturity, it is best to apply fertilizer once a year. The top dressing varieties are: 18-8-14 or 20-12-14. Topdressing dosage: 0.3~0.5 kg/plant. The method of topdressing is: in the evening before rain or after rain (using night tide to dissolve fertilizer and be absorbed by soil), spread fertilizer 30~50cm away from the trunk, with the increase of age, the distance from the trunk gradually increases. General topdressing period: the first topdressing, in the plant height of about 1 m; the second topdressing, in the plant height of about 5 m, each plant. The third topdressing is applied at about 8 meters of plant height.
