Last Updated: 2024/11/06, 1. Suitable environment Eucalyptus prefers warm climate, but is not resistant to hot and humid, and overheated climate grows poorly. Yunnan is mainly distributed in the area of 1200-2400 meters above sea level. It can only withstand a low temperature of about-7 ℃ for a short time. If it is menstruated at-5 ℃ for 2-3 days, it will produce varying degrees of freezing injury, light twigs.

The reason for the rapid growth of fast-growing eucalyptus is that it will inevitably absorb a large amount of water and nutrients from the soil through its roots to maintain the vegetative growth of its aboveground growth. The condition of planting fast-growing eucalyptus in the south is that the annual rainfall without frost or especially low temperature should reach a certain level to meet the water needs of the plant. If no fertilizer is applied after planting, or if it is not considered to be carried out according to suitable conditions, the soil properties will be degraded and the balanced cycle of water will be affected. Therefore, before planning planting, it should be carried out under the guidance of the local forestry department after demonstration.
