Twenty years ago, Liao Quanfu, who was in the seedling business,

Rented 30 mu of farmland near Chengdu to plant trees.

Five or six years later, the saplings grew into big trees.

It has become a forest!

It was supposed to be a logging business.

To support a family

Unexpectedly, it attracted hundreds of herons to build nests and perch here.

Watching beautiful egrets hover and reproduce in the jungle

In order to give them a happy habitat, Liao Quanfu

No more tree has been cut down!

He said: birds can't talk. I don't protect them. Who will take care of them?

In order to let egrets live and breed in peace in this forest.

Liao Quanfu took out almost all his savings.

To create a good living environment for them.

I heard that there should be water in the place where egrets live.

He was digging a pool in the woods.

Egrets were poisoned to death after eating crops stained with pesticides.

He bought fish for egrets out of his own pocket!

With the increase of egrets, some people come to poach at night.

He drove half an hour from the city in the middle of the night to patrol the forest!

As of today, tens of thousands of egrets inhabit Liao Quanfu's 30 mu forest.

Species are: night heron, pond heron, egret, cattle egret, etc.

They come here in spring to lay eggs, hatch eggs, and fly to other places to spend the winter in autumn.

In February 2017, in order to concentrate on taking care of egrets

Liao Quanfu even took his wife and children.

I made my home here!

He chose a site in the middle of the woods, using bricks and wood that others had discarded.

Design and construction by oneself

It took two years

He built an ancient building of 400 square meters brick by brick.

It's called "Heron Manor."

The kitchen is covered with green bricks

This green brick has a history of more than 100 years.

It was collected by Liao Quanfu from Li Yimeng's former home.

At that time, it was being demolished, and century-old carved wooden windows and green bricks were thrown aside.

Liao Quanfu thought it a pity, so he took it back and transported it to the woods.

Because the fireproof performance of green brick is better.

So I used it to build a kitchen.

Liao Quanfu did not draw drawings, but followed the traditional method.

The house was built with Luban ruler.

The other house, mainly used for living, has two floors.

Liao Quanfu asked the carpenter to repair it with wood.

And this wood is big and original.

The main material is the cypress of the Ming Dynasty.

Windows and doors are carved wooden windows of the Qing Dynasty.

And the walls in the courtyard

It was when the ancient city wall of Guanghan City was restored.

Abandoned green bricks.

having an antique flavour!

Not only the city walls,

Liao Quanfu also uses the chassis and floor of used trucks.

Set up a covered bridge

Summer time

The family sat under the covered bridge

Enjoy the cool and enjoy the scenery.

Liao Quanfu loves nature, egrets and plants even more.

Think that every plant and tree has life.

Should be cherished!

Thousands of potted bonsai of Heron Manor

It's all thrown away by others.

Liao Quanfu picked them up, saved them, and took good care of them.

The oldest of these bonsai is about 1500 years old.

Looking at this huge egret manor

Bricks, wood, doors and windows, bonsai.

Most of the things were picked up by Liao Quanfu

Even the lights on the house, stone tablets embedded in green bricks and other old objects

Also picked up, matched with the house, natural Tiancheng!

Not only can't see the old things being spoiled.

Liao Quanfu can't see the green waters and green mountains being spoiled.

Over the years, he has formed the habit of picking up rubbish whenever he sees it.

At home, when he saw rubbish in the river in the woods, he picked it up when he went into the river.

When he went on a trip and saw rubbish on the mountain, he could pick it up for three hours.

Anyway, regardless of business trip or travel, whenever he sees rubbish, he will pick it up.

This has been picked up for 20 years!

"I just want to make more people pay attention to environmental protection by picking up garbage," he said.

Whether it's protecting egrets, protecting ancient buildings or picking up garbage.

Liao Quanfu has an obsession in his heart:

Save something for future generations.

Plant trees to protect egrets and birds, and volunteer to pick up garbage.

Not only can these things not bring any benefits to Liao Quanfu.

And spent most of his life savings.

Liao Quanfu's family did not understand at first, especially his daughter!

Working in Beijing, I am used to the fast-paced life in a bustling city.

I don't understand that my father owns so many woods.

Why are you still dressed in rags and picking up garbage everywhere!

Until later, Liao Quanfu took her to move to Heron Manor.

She understood why her father was so keen on environmental protection.

She found out that she lived in the jungle with green water and green mountains.

It used to be so beautiful!

In the morning, she and her mother

Take the broom.

Clean the courtyard

Water the flowers.

Such a large yard has to be cleaned for two or three hours a day.

But she didn't feel bored at all, but enjoyed it very much!

After cleaning the yard, have a rest

Liao Fan went to his small vegetable garden with his mother.

Pick some fresh lentils, cucumbers, beans.

Pick back fresh vegetables

Wash it, cut everything.

Mother cooks a good table neatly.

The whole family is hidden by the green trees.

In

Eat lunch in the song of egrets.

The days are spent in this grass and tree, one vegetable and one sparse.

Clean and peaceful!

Liao Quanfu's heartfelt love for nature and egrets

Let him guard this heron manor for 20 years.

No matter how bitter and tired he is, he never gives up.

Today his dream has finally come true!

Hopefully, each of us will be like him.

Love nature and protect the environment on which we live!

Leave a little green water and green mountains for our future generations!
