Wasps are insects with social behavior and belong to completely abnormal animals. they go through four stages: eggs, larvae, pupae and adults, and are distributed in the jungles in the mountains of southern China. The life of wasps is very short compared to human beings. Let's take a look at how long the life span of wasps is.

How long is the life span of wasps?

The lifespan of wasps depends on the quality of the living environment. Under normal circumstances, except for the queen bee (female), the longest lifespan is 120 days and the shortest is only 45 days.

The reproduction law of wasps

After the frost in the next spring night, the queen bee began to nest and lay eggs in late April, and after the larvae were hatched, they were fed by the queen bee and pupated into adults, and became the first batch of worker bees. After that, the queen bee laid eggs full-time, and the worker bee built the nest and fed the young bees. A queen bee can reproduce thousands to tens of thousands of bees. In autumn, a new queen bee is produced in the hive, and the old queen bee dies.

Breeding habits of wasps

Wasps live in nests all their lives, and there are differences between queen bees (queen bees), worker bees (female bees) and drones. The queen bees are females who mate with drones after the autumn of the previous year. They store sperm in seminal vesicles and use them in stages during mating. Drones die soon after mating. When the weather is getting cold, fertilized female bees leave the nest one after another to look for places such as cracks in the walls and haystacks to stay together for the winter.

In the following spring, the surviving female bees went out in groups to find suitable places to build nests and lay eggs on their own. The fertilized eggs they laid formed female bees, and the unfertilized eggs formed drones. Due to the increase in the number of professional bees, the honeycomb gradually expanded, and the professional bees were responsible for building nests and feeding larvae. There are three peaks every year in central China. After autumn, the drones in the nest account for about 1 / 3 of the total, which is the period of the year with the largest number of drones.
