Let's take a look at what the parasites of snails are!

schistosomiasis

Schistosoma japonicum, also called Schistosoma japonicum, is a flat-shaped animal that parasitizes in the veins of the host. Its eggs pass through the vein wall into the bladder and are excreted with urine. The larvae develop in the intermediate host snails. The mature larvae enter the final host body through the skin or mouth. Schistosoma mansoni lives in the veins of the large and small intestine. The eggs are excreted with feces, and the larvae enter the snail body and return to the final host body through the skin.

angiostrongylus cantonensis

Taiwan Province of China is an epidemic area of Angiostrongylus. Under normal circumstances, rats are the final host of Angiostrongylus, snails and snails are intermediate hosts, freshwater shrimps, fish and crabs can be used as secondary hosts of Angiostrongylus. The natural infection rates of Onyx fuscus and Ampullaria canaliculata in mainland China are 29.7% and 24.76% respectively, and 65.5% respectively. Human infection is obtained by ingesting snails, fish and shrimps containing the third larvae.

Fasciola hepatica

Adult Fasciola hepatica parasitizes in the liver bile duct of cattle, sheep, other herbivores and human beings. The intermediate host is Conospira, which is the most important in China. The eggs discharged by the adult in the bile duct are discharged into the intestinal tract with bile, and then discharged together with the host feces. They fall into the water and develop into miracidia after 2~3 weeks at a suitable temperature. When they meet the intermediate host Conospira, they quickly penetrate into the body and enter the liver.

paragonimiasis

Paragonimus westermani is also known as paragonimus westermani, the first intermediate host is Sichuan scroll snail, the second intermediate host is river crab, crayfish (parasitic in gills, muscles, etc.), etc., people infected by eating raw drunk and uncooked crab or crayfish, can enter human lungs, abdomen, brain and subcutaneous parts, can appear cough, bloody sputum, chest pain, abdominal pain, headache, epilepsy, subcutaneous mass and other symptoms.
