Spider web method
The spider is the general name of all species of arachnoid arachnids, all spiders have silk glands, silk is widely used in the life of spiders, web catching is one of the functions of spiders, hunting spiders have no fixed habitat, hunting everywhere, do not weave cobwebs, only settled spiders weave webs, let's take a look at the methods and types of spiders to form webs!
Reason why spiders form webs
The most important feature of web-forming spiders is their web-forming behavior. Spiders secrete mucus through protuberances at the tip of the silk sac, which condenses into fine silk when exposed to air. The web made of silk is highly sticky and is the main means of predation for spiders. For insects that stick to the Internet, spiders first inject a special liquid jujube digestive enzyme into their prey. This digestive enzyme can make the insect coma, twitch, until death, and liquefaction of the body, after liquefaction, spiders suck food. Spiders lay eggs. After mating with females, most male spiders will be swallowed by females and become food for females. Wandering spiders do not form webs, but wander around or prey on the spot, such as high-footed spiders, commonly known in Taiwan as worms.
Spider web method
From its foothold on a tree, the spider draws many filaments long enough to reach the opposite side, so the silk floats with the wind, like transparent ribbons floating in the air, and then it always touches the fixed point of the silk with its feet. If there is a silk that can not be pulled, then the silk has been entangled in the tree opposite, and the "heavenly rope" has been set up. Like the pillars of a house, it sticks a few more strands back and forth on the support line that must be used as a spider's web, turning it into a thick "cable". Then, under this thick "cable", a second "cable" is erected in parallel. The spider crawled around, and the web was set up on these two "cables".
Spider web type
1. Sheet web: the most common is the funnel spider's web, including a tubular shelter from which dense water extends.
2. Flat web: the role of the web is no longer limited to sending messages about the vicinity of the prey, it can also delay the movement of the prey, giving spiders more time to catch. There are many funnel spiders entangling a lot of irregular silk above the web, so that they can better transmit vibrations and intercept insects.
3. Round net: round net is found in some families of the family Araneae and Araneae and their relatives. A typical round web of a spider knot. The round web of the dish spider knot is a horizontal round net with more silk thread.
4. Other: the web of the fan charm spider is triangular, which is only equivalent to one fan of the round net. On the other hand, the long charm spider is simpler, and the whole web is composed of only one or more sticky wires. The demon spider knots a small rectangular web. Instead of passively waiting for the insect to hit the net, it pulls the net with two pairs of forefeet, actively catching insects like copying a net. Another example is that a meteor spider uses only one silk, and there is a sticky ball with a volatile substance at the end of the silk, which is similar to sex hormones. Spiders use their forefeet to manipulate the silk like a hydrangea meteor, throwing the sticky ball at the end of the silk to its prey.
