Mainly to swallow, the main function of teeth is to prevent food escape. Catfish is the most widely distributed fish in the family Siluridae. It is distributed in eastern Russia, Korea, Japan and the whole eastern Asia, and farming is found in all provinces of China.

Location of fish pond

For the local pond horn fish culture, the construction location of the fish pond is very important. the condition of the fish pond not only affects the daily management, but also affects the economic benefits of the culture. The location of the fish pond should choose the front and back of the house with guaranteed water source, good water quality and convenient drainage and irrigation, which is convenient for daily management. at the same time, it should be close to the orchard or planted crops as far as possible to give full play to the role of insect trapping lights.

Fish pond construction

1. You can choose to build a pool by digging down or on the ground according to the terrain. The construction of a digging pond is conducive to the stabilization of water temperature in winter, and is conducive to the growth of fish, but there must be effective drainage conditions. The practice is to dig into the ground about 70 centimeters, the ground with bricks about 50 centimeters high, the whole pool depth of about 1.2 meters. The practice of building a pool on the ground is to build a pool with a height of about 1.2 meters with bricks on the ground. The area of the fish pond should be 20 square meters, and the shape is generally rectangular.

2. Fish ponds should be equipped with upper and no drains. The upper outlet is located about 25-30 cm away from the pool wall to prevent flooding in the rainy season, and the pond horn fish escape with the water; the lower outlet is used for daily water exchange and water catch.

Fish pond disinfection

Before releasing the fry, the pond should be disinfected. There are two methods. One is the dry pool method, which drains or drains the pond water. After exposure to the sun, the golden pond evenly distributes quicklime, using 75g per square meter of area. New water is injected on the first day, and the fish fry is placed for 5 days and then replaced with fresh water. The fish fry can be released after another 3 days. The second is the method of carrying water, using 220g quicklime per cubic meter of pool water, sprinkling quicklime slurry evenly in the whole pool while it is hot, and starting to fertilize the water quality after the toxicity of quicklime disappears.

Methods for checking the disappearance of the toxicity of quicklime:

1. Check the PH value of the pool water. If the PH value falls below 7, it means that the toxicity of quicklime has disappeared.

2. Observe whether there are water fleas in the pool water. If there are water fleas, it means that the toxicity has disappeared.

Fertilizing water quality

After the fish pond is disinfected, about a week before the fry is released, the water quality begins to be fattened. After water injection reaches 0.9, biogas dregs can be used as the basic fertilizer of fish ponds, and about 250g biogas dregs are put into fish ponds per square meter.

Stocking fish fry

Stocking fish fry for 6 days should be harmless, disease-free, healthy and lively. Fish specifications should be more than 3 cm, should be consistent as far as possible, so as not to kill each other. In the daily management, disease prevention is particularly important, and fish body disinfection must be done well when fish fry are put in. The method is to dilute 1 kg of salt with 30 kg of water and soak the fry in salt water for 5 minutes before releasing them. Before releasing the fry, put a small amount of pond water into a container and put several fish fry into the trial culture; if the fry live normally within a day, you can put the fry into the fish pond. The stocking time is suitable on a sunny day, with 50 fish fry with a body length of 3 mi 5 cm per square meter.
