In recent years, ornamental fish ponds have gradually entered the social trend, which can be found in many families, parks, tourist attractions, villas and many other places. Different measures need to be taken for different seasons when raising fish. For different seasons of the year, how to manage ornamental fish?

Spring management of ornamental fish

Spring management focuses on appropriate amount of bait and disease prevention and treatment. The climate becomes warmer in spring, and the ornamental fish become active after overwintering, but their physique is relatively weak, so the amount of feeding should be gradually increased. Due to the great climate change, special attention should be paid to heat preservation when it is windy and rainy. Bacteria and viruses also multiply rapidly in spring, and fish diseases are the most prevalent. Fishing with a net is easy to hurt the fish, so we must pay attention to disease prevention and treatment.

Summer management of ornamental fish

Summer is the peak growing season for ornamental fish. The water temperature is usually above 30 ℃ and the fish seldom get sick. If the bait is sufficient and water is changed frequently, its growth is better than that of other seasons. The increasing demand for oxygen and the prevention of hypoxia in water have become the key to feeding. Reduce stocking density, frequently change water and discharge, and pay attention to oxygenation, especially in the weather of muggy and rainstorm. Pay attention to heat prevention and cooling, cover the surface of the water with bamboo curtains, etc., to prevent the occurrence of "hot tail" accidents.

Autumn management of ornamental fish

The focus of autumn management of ornamental fish is to feed enough. Appropriately increase the proportion of nutrients such as fat and protein in the diet. When the weather gets cooler in late autumn, baiting should be gradually reduced. At the same time, it is easy to break out Gill rot disease, white spot disease, skin mildew and so on, so it is necessary to prevent fish disease.

Winter management of ornamental fish

The focus of winter management of ornamental fish is cold protection and heat preservation, proper bait. Greenhouse or aquarium with heating equipment, so that the water temperature is generally not lower than 20 ℃. Or use the role of factory waste hot water to maintain a proper water temperature for normal breeding and reproduction. Strictly prevent fish from getting sick or dying from frostbite caused by a sudden drop in water temperature (especially at night).
