Chicken dung is a kind of protein supplement with high quality and low price. Its dry dung contains 15% Mel 30% crude protein, 10% Mel 16% crude fiber, and 8% Mel 10% amino acids. The crude protein content of 1 kg chicken dung is equivalent to 600 grams of concentrate. However, the crude protein in chicken manure has 50% non-protein nitrogen and exists in the form of uric acid, and the energy is low, and the ash content is as high as 25% Mel 35%. In order to improve the utilization rate of feeding chicken manure to live pigs, attention should be paid to the treatment methods as follows:

Processing of chicken manure

① drying: evenly spread the chicken manure on the cement floor, air-dry naturally, so that the water content of chicken manure is less than 13%. If possible, it can be dried by a dryer.

② fermentation: add rice bran, wheat bran, grass powder and crop straw powder to chicken manure, add appropriate amount of water, put it in a jar, cellar or plastic bag, press and seal tightly, and make it sour for 3-5 days, then it can be used to feed pigs.

③ silage: mix 60% chicken manure, 30% straw powder and 10% wheat bran evenly, keep humidity 60%, and silage in cellar for 30-50 days.

The amount of chicken manure added

Piglets can add 5% Mel 10%; fattening pigs can add 15% Mel 30%. However, when using chicken manure as feed, we should pay attention to the following points.

① should collect pollution-free fresh chicken manure from non-epidemic areas.

② should add more cereal feed to increase palatability and mineral balance.

The ash content in ③ chicken manure is high, so we should pay attention to the total ash content in the diet should not exceed the critical level.

④ should stop feeding chicken manure 15 days before the fattening pig comes out.
