Feed formula for sows at different stages
Female pigs of any age who have given birth in pigs are called sows. In order to maintain good body condition and reproductive performance of sows, feed selection and control in each stage of sows is one of the key measures in feeding. Feed selection and control in each stage should vary according to the condition of sows. Let's take a look at the feed formula for sows.
Feed formula for empty sows
Most sows are in estrus 3-7 days after weaning, so we must pay attention to short-term optimal feeding. The feed formula can follow the diet of lactating sows or late pregnant sows to promote normal estrus and ovulation of sows, and is also beneficial to the smooth implantation of embryos and increase the conception rate and litter size. It is recommended to feed in large columns, feed freely, or feed 3 kilograms on the first day after weaning and about 4 kilograms a day later.
Backup sow feed formula
1. Corn 60%, wheat bran (or rice bran) 22%, soybean meal 14%, sow premix 4%.
2. Corn 34%, wheat 30%, wheat bran (or rice bran) 22%, soybean meal 10%, sow premix 4%, wheat special compound enzyme 0.2%.
Note: after 6 months of age, the daily feeding is limited, 2.0-2.2 kg per day, the estrus of sows is checked, and the second to third mating of sows (7 and a half months for first mating sows, weight 120-140 kg) is recommended. Free feeding two weeks before mating can increase litter size.
Early feed for pregnant sows
1. 62% corn, 21% wheat bran (or rice bran), 13% soybean meal, 4% sow premix.
2. Corn 36%, wheat 30%, wheat bran (or rice bran) 21%, soybean meal 9%, sow premix 4%, wheat special compound enzyme 0.2%.
Note: this formula is suitable for young and high-yielding sows. It is recommended to adopt limit column feeding and limit feeding, with daily feeding of 1.8-2.3 kg (it can also be increased or decreased according to the season or fat condition).
Late feed for pregnant sows
1. 62% corn, 16% wheat bran (or rice bran), 17% soybean meal, 4% sow premix, 1% animal life 1.
2. 36% of corn, 30% of wheat, 16% of wheat bran (or rice bran), 13% of soybean meal, 4% of sow premix, 1% of animal life 1, 0.2% of wheat-specific compound enzyme.
Note: this formula is suitable for high-yielding sows, promote breast development, prevent prenatal and postpartum paralysis of sows, and improve the overall production performance of sows. It is recommended to use large column feeding, daily feeding 2.3-2.5-3.5 kg.
Feed for lactating sows to be produced
1. Corn 67%, wheat bran (or rice bran) 9%, soybean meal 18%, sow premix 4%, animal life 1 2%.
2. 41% of corn, 30% of wheat, 9% of wheat bran (or rice bran), 14% of soybean meal, 4% of sow premix, 2% of animal life 1, 0.2% of wheat-specific compound enzyme.
Note: this formula is suitable for high-yielding sows and is beneficial to improve the overall production performance of sows. The sows were given birth in bed for one week before delivery, fed freely and fully after delivery, with daily feeding of 5.0-8.0 kg. It is recommended that the sows should be weaned at 21 days, and the feed should not be reduced before weaning, which is beneficial to the normal estrus of sows after weaning.
