Quail breeding is a kind of special breeding. In quail breeding, we inevitably face the problem of quail hatching, which is also a problem that many novices do not know how to solve. Today, the pro-farm network will introduce to you several methods of how to hatch quail eggs.

Nowadays, there are three main hatching methods, including natural hatching, water tank hatching and electric blanket hatching. in addition, farmers in the north can also choose to hatch in fire pits, and there are also incubators on the market. Below, the pro-farm network will give you a specific introduction.

I. Natural hatching method

Choose hens with small size and strong nesting ability to hatch instead, and 30-40 eggs can be hatched at one time. In the early stage of hatching, when the hens leave the nest to eat, if the temperature is low, the nest should be covered with cotton blankets and other insulation. It is necessary to prevent hens from breaking eggs during hatching. Hatched with pigeons, 6-8 hatched eggs can be put in each time. Methods: when the pigeon is ready to hatch after laying eggs, take out the pigeon eggs and put them in quail eggs. After the nestling comes out of its shell, it should be taken out and put into the incubator in time.

2. Water tank incubation method

Hatch with a water tank of the same caliber, an aluminum plate and a quilt for heat preservation. Put the eggs in a small mesh bag every 30-40 eggs, then put them in an aluminum plate. The outside of the water tank is tightly wrapped with cotton and other heat preservation, and the warm water of 50 ℃-70 ℃ is put inside. The amount of water will not touch the bottom of the aluminum plate. Put the aluminum plate on the tank and cover it with a quilt. At the beginning of hatching, the temperature in the tank can be slightly higher, and at the same time, there is a large temperature difference between the eggs on the edge of the plate and the eggs in the middle, so that the eggs should be turned several times, so that the temperature of the eggs is basically the same, turn the eggs once every 4-6 hours. The water in the tank is usually changed once or twice a day, and only part of the water is changed each time. When hatching, you can put a thermometer in the aluminum plate to keep abreast of the temperature change.

Third, electric blanket hatching

Spread a layer of cotton wool at the bottom of the electric blanket, cover the blanket with a layer of cotton blanket, put several square sticks of 3cm-5cm square on top, put the egg plate on the square wood, stack 2-3 layers, cover the quilt, and then heat it with electricity. The temperature is checked every 30 minutes from 10 hours to 12 hours after hatching. after that, the temperature can be controlled by switching the electric blanket, turning the eggs, drying the eggs, the thickness of the quilt and so on. Turn eggs 5-6 times a day.

IV. Fire pit incubation method

As mentioned by the pro-agricultural network earlier, this method is mainly applicable to the northern region. Farmers can make an adobe fire Kang and then hatch on the Kang bed, which is basically similar to the electric blanket method.

5. Machine incubation method

This method is mainly carried out by using incubators on the market, and the cost is slightly higher than the previous ones. As long as it is used as an incubator for poultry eggs, it can be used to hatch quails.

The above are several quail hatching methods introduced by the pro-farm network, which can be adopted according to the actual situation. Quail hatching is only the first step in quail breeding.
