Choose the duck seedlings.

The selection and purchase of duck vaccines should go to the breeding duck farms where the epidemic prevention work is better, and the breeding ducks should be vaccinated against diseases such as poultry failure, colibacillosis, duck plague, bird flu, and viral hepatitis in strict accordance with the immunization procedures, and the epidemic prevention conditions of the hatchery are in line with the state regulations. When selecting duck seedlings, the ducklings feel plump and powerful, the feathers are shiny, strong and lively, and the calls are loud. The selected duck seedlings should be of uniform size.

Take good care of the nestling

1. Sanitary disinfection of the nursery: do a good job in the sanitary cleaning of the nursery before entering the duck fry, thoroughly wash the duck feces, spray once with disinfectant (0.2% permethoxin solution), and disinfect the drinking fountains, material plates, troughs, etc., after drying.

2. Brooding methods of meat ducks: large-scale meat ducks are generally raised on the ground and on the Internet. Online brooding has more advantages than ground brooding, and the hygienic environment is better, which can increase the brooding density and the utilization rate of the brooding house, reduce the incidence of disease and mortality of ducklings, improve the survival rate during the brooding period, the feed reward of ducklings is high, and the growth rate is fast.

Management of the rearing period

1. Brooding temperature: ducklings who have just come out of their shells have poor ability to regulate their body temperature, so they must do a good job of heat preservation. The brooding temperature of 1-3 days old was 30 ℃ ~ 32 ℃, and then decreased by 1 ℃ every 2 days, and stopped heating when the temperature was close to the external temperature.

2. The density of brooding in the house: 1 at the age of 7 days, there were 20 chicks per square meter on the ground and 40 chicks per square meter on the Internet.

3. Timely drinking water and feeding: after the ducklings come out of the shell for 12 hours and 24 hours, the ducklings should be given drinking water and feed in time. The drinking fountains should be adequate and evenly distributed, and the drinking water should be trained manually if necessary. After drinking water for 1-2 hours, the ducklings were softened with full-price high-quality duckling feed (1-3 days old can be replaced by chicken feed) and sprinkled evenly on the material plate or plastic sheeting to induce them to feed. After all the ducklings could find food normally, they were fed freely in a feed trough.

4. Lighting: ducklings eat less, have strong digestive ability, grow fast, and eat continuously day and night, so the nursery should have sufficient light and electric lights at night to allow them to feed 24 hours a day.

5. Pay attention to ventilation: the ventilation in the nursery should be good to prevent the concentration of ammonia and carbon dioxide in the house from being too high, causing disease and poisoning.

Do a good job in the prevention and control of duck disease

In the process of raising meat ducks, it is necessary to do a good job in the prevention of duck viral hepatitis, infectious serositis, influenza, colibacillosis, poultry failure, bird flu and other infectious diseases. For breeder ducks that have not been immunized with duck viral hepatitis or bird flu vaccine, the offspring of ducklings should be injected with anti-viral hepatitis egg yolk after entering the human rearing house, and then injected with bird flu vaccine after brooding, and other diseases can be prevented and treated with antibiotics. Pay attention to the daily cleaning and hygiene work of the nursery, remove duck manure every day, prevent ammonia and carbon dioxide poisoning, and do a good job of disinfection in the house. After the meat ducks are sold, the breeding ground can be cross-sterilized with quicklime and Xiaoteling, and the second batch of meat ducks can be reared at intervals of 7-15 days, which can better control the occurrence of diseases and improve the survival rate and economic benefits of meat ducks.
