In order to improve the growth rate of rabbits in the process of rabbit breeding, we can start from five aspects: feed collocation, environmental hygiene, diet rules, slow feeding and drinking habits.

Feed collocation

Because the rabbit has a well-developed cecum with a large number of microflora, it can digest a large amount of roughage. According to different physiological stages, it is necessary to scientifically match the proportion of fine and coarse materials. Generally speaking, the nutrition level of young rabbits is higher, and it needs to be digested easily, so the proportion of concentrate should be larger when batching; young rabbits require low nutrition level and should be based on coarse feed, with less concentrate; pregnant and lactating female rabbits should be properly fed with more concentrate to supplement body nutrition to ensure normal fetal development and milk secretion; breeding rabbits generally give priority to coarse feed and pay attention to supplement some protein. At the same time, a variety of feed should be fed to enhance the rabbit's appetite and promote the growth and development of the rabbit.

Environmental Health

Do not feed moldy materials every time. Grass containing dew or rain in summer should be dried and then fed. Those with mud should be washed and dried with clean water. Do not take mud to feed.

Diet rule

Feed must be timed and quantified. Young rabbits are fed 5 times a day, pregnant and lactating female rabbits 4 times a day, young rabbits 3 times a day, winter nights are long and days are short, breakfast should be fed early, dinner should be fed late, summer noon should be fed less, and morning and evening should be fed more when cool.

Slow refueling

With the change of seasons, the change to feed should be carried out step by step. Green feed mixed with dry green feed for a period of time, can not feed green feed today, dry green feed tomorrow, be careful not to feed concentrate alone, so as not to cause indigestion and gastrointestinal diseases.

Drinking habits

Immediately after feeding, give the rabbit water and make it a habit. Drink warm water in winter and cold water in summer. Add a little salt to the water.

Of course, in addition to the above aspects, there are many aspects that affect the growth and development of rabbits, which need to be found by farmers in the specific breeding process and adjusted according to local conditions.
