pigeon pox

Pigeon pox occurs in the eyes, mouth, feet, anus and less hair on the skin, began to be gray, gradually become brown scab, generally about two weeks will dry off. Pigeon pox sometimes occurs in the throats of pigeons and becomes diphtheria. There is no specific medicine for the treatment of pigeon pox at present, and iodine or sulfur ointment applied to the affected part has certain effect. Diphtheria type can be carefully removed by tweezers and coated with iodine glycerin (iodine, glycerin ratio of 1:2). Pigeonhouses kept dry, sanitary and mosquito-free can prevent this disease.

paratyphoid

The main symptoms of paratyphoid fever are anorexia, inactivity, often standing alone, depression, eyelid edema, bow, eyes closed, sleeping state, nose tumor losing its original color, pulling green loose stool. Acute death within 2 to 3 days, chronic diarrhea is long-term emaciation, joint swelling. Treatment drugs are: concentration of 0.15% iodine amine medicine aqueous solution as drinking water to feed pigeons, feed 4 days stop 2 days, repeat once, generally can heal. Or the diarrhea stop dissolved in water, the concentration of 0.01%~0.02%, even drink several days. Chlortetracycline (or chloramphenicol) 15 mg per oral dose per day, divided into two doses, for 3 days, have certain effects.

fowl cholera

The symptoms of avian cholera are listlessness, closed eyes and neck, loose hair, disliking food, lying down in one corner and fever all over the body. Frequent drinking water, crop fullness, mouth flow yellow mucus, conjunctiva flushing, feces white or green, death within 2~3 days. Streptomycin can be taken during treatment, 50~100 mg each time, for 2~3 days. Each animal was injected intramuscularly with 20% sulfadiazine sodium, 1 ml each time, twice a day for 2~3 days.

Meat pigeon gastroenteritis

Suffering from gastroenteritis of pigeons mainly manifested as: loose feathers chaos, loss of appetite, diarrhea. If the stool is bloody during diarrhea, it proves that the disease is quite serious. For meat pigeons suffering from gastroenteritis, it is necessary to stop feeding corn and pea hard food. It is best to soak wheat in boiling water and then feed it to help digestion. At the same time, the meat pigeons were given sulfaguanidine tablets, 1/8~1/4 tablets per time, 4 times a day.
