The breeding area of yellow-throated water turtles is getting wider and wider. Although they are protected by the state, they are allowed to be farmed, but wild turtles are not allowed to be caught in the wild. The yellow-throated water turtle is more adaptable, easier to breed and easier to manage. But it is for this reason that many people do not pay attention to it when breeding. In fact, there are many points that need to be paid attention to in the process of breeding yellow-throated water turtles. I would like to introduce to you the matters needing attention when breeding yellow-throated water turtles.

1. Water quality

The quality of the life of the yellow-throated turtle is very important. The water must be exposed to the sun for more than two days and the chlorine in the water can be removed before the water can be changed. In the process of drying, it is best to prepare two buckets, so that you can meet the needs of changing water, which should be changed every day, but not all of it. Just drain some of the old water and inject a little new water. If you find the water and the turtle pond around very dirty, you need to replace all the water. When changing water, you can use a pipe to drain the dirty water, and then inject the same amount of new water. This can be a good prevention and treatment of white eye disease and rotten nail.

2. Food

The yellow-throated turtle's food is generally some meat, mostly pork, beef and fish liver and so on. When feeding, all these foods should be chopped up. Turtle feed is not very attractive to turtles. Turtle food is very extensive. There is no need to buy turtle feed, which is of little significance. But when feeding small fish and shrimp, be careful not to stab the turtle in the throat. Frozen food needs to be thawed to the same temperature as the water before feeding, not too often, once a day or twice a day, because turtles have a slow metabolism and are very hungry. And when autumn comes, they basically stop eating, eat once every 4-5 days, and stop eating during hibernation in winter.

3. Environment

The environment of turtle farming is also more important. The water depth of the turtle pond is higher than that of the turtle back 2-3cm, providing enough stones above the surface of the water in the turtle pond. Turtles can climb up to bask in the sun and bask in their shells. Because yellow-throated turtles need sunshine, if they are raised indoors, always let all turtles bask in the sun for at least 10 minutes a day, but not for too long, for too long may cause heat stroke. Some floating water lotus is placed on the surface of the water in order to let the lotus absorb the heat of the sun and lower the water temperature in the pool.

4. Hibernation

Turtles are all hibernating animals. When the temperature drops to 10 degrees at the beginning of winter, the turtles will begin to hibernate when the temperature falls to 10 degrees. When the temperature rises to about 20 degrees in spring, they will end hibernation. After entering hibernation, move the turtle to a dark and quiet place indoors. The water is just as deep as the back of the turtle. Should not change water frequently, change water once a month during hibernation, but the water temperature should not be too low, preferably normal temperature, the surrounding temperature should be controlled above 6 degrees, less than 6 degrees will threaten the life and safety of turtles.

The above are the matters needing attention in the breeding of yellow-throated water turtles. In the process of breeding, attention should be paid to the period when the tortoise hibernates, when the tortoise is most vulnerable when hibernating, and pay attention to the water temperature and the surrounding air temperature. Although the yellow-throated water turtle is easy to breed, it is still necessary to strengthen management, and the invasiveness of bacteria is very strong. I hope everyone will pay attention to it.
