The method of overwintering soft-shelled turtle
In recent years, many people get rid of poverty and become rich by cultivating soft-shelled turtles, so they directly promote the development of the soft-shelled turtle farming industry, and then there are a lot of people who want to emulate the experience of others to get rich. Many of them have no experience at all, and the breeding ended in failure. Today, the pro-agricultural network is here to give you welfare. Let's take a look at how soft-shelled turtles are farmed in winter.
1. Temperature management
The temperature in winter in most parts of our country is relatively low, and the temperature suitable for the growth of soft-shelled turtle is generally 25 to 30 degrees, the lowest temperature can not be lower than 10 degrees, and the highest temperature can not be higher than 32 degrees. The general temperature in winter is about 5 degrees to 8 degrees, which is a great challenge to the survival of soft-shelled turtles, so we can only use artificial methods to maintain the temperature in the farm. Such as injecting spring water, building wind walls, building greenhouses and so on.
2. Water quality management
The soft-shelled turtle has more stringent requirements on water quality in winter than at other times, as long as one of the reasons is that the temperature in winter is low, the activity of the water is relatively low, and it is very easy to produce ammonia nitrogen, which has a great impact on the water quality. Ammonia nitrogen is a great threat to the growth of soft-shelled turtles, which can cause gastrointestinal discomfort and decay all over the body. Can not change water frequently in winter, it will affect the temperature of the pool, first of all, we can plant some plants in the water, they have a certain role in purifying water quality, the second is to control the pH of water quality, can be sprinkled with appropriate amount of quicklime, this is more conducive to the growth of soft-shelled turtle.
3. Lighting management
Many soft-shelled turtle farmers in winter tend to ignore the light factor, feeling that there is no light in winter, and wild soft-shelled turtles still live very well, so they think that light has no effect on the growth of soft-shelled turtles. In fact, reasonable light can improve the survival rate of soft-shelled turtle culture in winter. At this time, many people do not know, you can try according to the method I said. Generally speaking, we need at least six to eight hours of light market a day, and we can do it by replenishing the light in the greenhouse.
4. Feeding and management
Many people say that soft-shelled turtles hibernate in winter, that is, they go into a deep sleep, so they don't need to be fed. In fact, as long as it hibernates, the natural hormone does not need to be fed, but this does not mean that the soft-shelled turtle does not need to be fed in winter. Normally, the soft-shelled turtle does not hibernate until the water temperature is about five degrees Celsius. And since we have adjusted the water temperature of the farm, then naturally it will not go into hibernation. It still has to eat and fatten during this period of time. But it should be noted that soft-shelled turtles eat less in winter than at other times, tailing concentrate with higher nutrient content as much as possible.
5. Disease control
In winter, because it is impossible to change water as frequently and thoroughly as usual, it is inevitable that some diseases and insect pests such as bacteria and parasites will appear. So after each change of water, we have to sprinkle harmless agents to the soft-shelled turtle to disinfect the water quality, and the second is to salvage the mud in the pond as much as possible, so as to reduce pests and feed reasonably to enhance the physique of the soft-shelled turtle. Finally, the disease control agents are added to the feed.
