1. Variety
There are many species of scallop. According to relevant data, there are at least 60 species. Although there are so many species, most farms are either single species of scallop culture or mixed culture of one or two kinds of scallop. In fact, this is a very disadvantageous phenomenon for the future development of farmers, so when we culture scallop, we had better choose four or five varieties for mixed culture. In this way, if there is a problem with one kind of scallop, other scallops can be replaced, so it will not cause much loss.
2. Water quality
Scallop culture has relatively high requirements for water quality, so we should pay attention to improving the water quality of farms from many aspects. First of all, we should choose to breed in the river basin where the water source is not polluted, and the second is to use some harmless disinfection of the scallop itself and chemicals that treat sewage and decompose and dissolve harmful substances to improve the water quality, usually once every ten days or so, which can effectively improve the water quality without damaging the scallops. Finally, we have to irregularly clean the cage and other aquaculture equipment, which can also play a role in improving water quality to a certain extent.
3. Temperature
Temperature is an important factor affecting the growth of scallop. There are slight differences in the temperature suitable for scallop growth among different species of scallop, but it is usually about 10 to 15 degrees. It must be noted that the minimum water temperature is lower than 5 degrees. At the same time, the highest temperature can not exceed 20 degrees, otherwise it will cause a certain degree of casualties. It is also important to note that the rise and fall of water temperature should not be higher than three degrees a day, otherwise it will be abnormal and cause disease, so we can install water temperature measurement equipment in the water of the farm, which can better reflect the growth of scallops.
4. Density
When stocking scallops, they must be stocked strictly according to a reasonable density. Many people think that the more they are stocked, the more they will get. In fact, this is not the case. This will affect not only the growth rate of scallops, but also their survival rate. Usually, we breed according to the scale of up to 100 scallops in each cage, and reared in groups many times according to different periods and different growth conditions of scallops.
