The rabbit is a very lovely small animal, although it is easy to raise, but it is easy to die if you do not pay attention to some feeding details, and because the digestive system of the rabbit is relatively delicate, so feeding fruits and vegetables needs to adhere to the principle of moderation, do not feed blindly, let's take a look at how the rabbit will not die!

The type of feed for rabbits

1. Concentrate feed: concentrate mainly provides rabbits with daily energy, protein and fat, followed by minerals, amino acids and so on. At present, the vast majority of rabbit food belongs to full-price food, that is, all the nutrients needed by rabbits are prepared into rabbit food according to a certain proportion, which can theoretically meet the vast majority of nutrients needed by rabbits.

2. Roughage: roughage mainly provides rabbits with daily crude fiber, followed by protein, amino acids and so on. The nutritional composition and palatability of different families are also different. The palatability of leguminous forage is generally better than that of grasses, and the palatability of fresh forage is generally better than that of hay. In terms of nutritional value, the nutritional value of young forage is high, the content of crude fiber is low, the nutritional value of mature forage is low, and the content of crude fiber is high.

3. Succulent feed: succulent feed mainly provides rabbits with daily vitamins and water. Different vegetables and fruits have different nutrients, but the content of vitamins is generally equal to or higher than that of forage grass.

Feeding and management of rabbits

1, timid and quiet: the rabbit is very timid, suddenly hear the sound, there will be a "surprise" phenomenon, loss of appetite, the female rabbit who is giving birth is disturbed and often has dystocia or refuses to breast-feed the baby rabbit. In addition to exercise and eating, I like to rest and sleep, and wake up as soon as there is any movement.

2, cold-resistant and heat-resistant: the rabbit's hair is very dense and can withstand the severe cold. The adult rabbit can withstand the temperature below zero and can breed in winter at about 5 ℃. Rabbits are afraid of heat because their sweat glands are underdeveloped and cannot regulate their body temperature in the form of sweating.

3. Daytime and nocturnal walking: in addition to feeding, rabbits like to rest or sleep in cages during the day, but they are extremely active and eat frequently at night, accounting for about 75% of the total diet at night, so rabbits must insist on feeding night grass.

4. Like to live in caves: rabbits like to live in caves, and burrowing is more frequent before breeding. Pay attention to this in the design and materials when building rabbit houses. According to this habit, rabbits can use mountains and hills to raise holes in places with good climate.

5. Homosexual belligerence: rabbits and adult males chase each other when they meet, and females also bite each other when they are together. Male and female rabbits often live in harmony when they are together, so try not to raise adult males or adult females together in management.

Taboos in raising rabbits

2. Don't give rabbits food that is too cold, too hot, too spicy or cooked.

3. Rabbits should be given artificial feed appropriately to avoid wasting feed or overweight due to eating too much feed.

4. Don't pick flowers and plants on the side of the road to feed rabbits.

5. Rabbits should be fed regularly at a fixed point every day to develop a good diet.
