With the progress of society, intensive farming is constantly expanding. Duck is one of our common poultry. When raising young ducklings, ducklings who have just come out of their shells stop being weak and can not withstand a variety of environments like adult ducks. Its ability to regulate body temperature is poor, only in a temperature stable environment, can it grow healthily, the following pro-agricultural network brings ducklings to the requirements of the feeding environment.

1. Temperature conditions

After coming out of the shell, the ducklings have short fluff and no good protection against the cold. At this time, if the external temperature is low, it may lead to its death due to hypothermia, so the temperature in the feeding environment of the ducklings is slightly higher, and the temperature at this time can be about 30 degrees. With the increase of the age of the ducklings, the temperature of the feeding environment can be decreased appropriately, and the ducklings after 3 weeks of age already have a certain ability to keep out the cold. If the temperature is about 15 degrees, there is no need for artificial heat preservation. During the brooding period, the temperature must be stable, not high and low, and the daily temperature change should not exceed two degrees. If the ducklings lie still in groups and eat and drink regularly, it represents temperature adaptation; and if the performance is to shrink their necks and shrug their wings, pile each other, and squeak, it means that the temperature is too high or too low and needs to be adjusted.

2. Humidity conditions

Although a duck is a poultry that likes water and swimming, it does not mean that it can soak in the water all day, especially during the duckling period, the water must be strictly controlled, and the humidity of the breeding environment should not be too high. In particular, it is necessary to keep the ground and mat grass dry and clean. after the ducklings eat and swim, they will lie still on the ground and rest on the mat grass, but if the ground and mat grass are wet, it will not only affect the digestion and absorption of feed, but also easily cause rotten feather. endanger the health of ducklings.

3. Lighting conditions

Light is also very important during brooding. Sunlight can increase the temperature of the duckling's body surface, promote its blood circulation, speed up its metabolism, transform its nutrition, and promote bone growth. Generally speaking, within 7 days of age, it is necessary to maintain more than 20 hours of light, and the light intensity should be slightly larger. Later, with the increase of age, the duration and intensity of light will gradually decrease. In summer, the brooding is illuminated by sunlight during the day, but weaker lights are needed at night, while the daytime in autumn is short, so you can use lights to simulate sunlight for an hour or two in the evening, while you can also illuminate with dim lights at night.

4. Ventilation condition

In the early stage of brooding, the temperature of the feeding environment is higher, and the breathing of ducklings is faster. If the feeding environment is too closed, resulting in a higher concentration of carbon dioxide in the air, carbon dioxide poisoning may occur. Therefore, attention should be paid to strengthening ventilation conditions in brooding, especially in high temperature and high humidity environment, where ducklings and feed will decompose and ferment, release some harmful gases, stimulate ducklings' eyes, nose and respiratory tract, and cause death in serious cases. Ventilation should prevent cold wind from blowing on the ducklings.

The above are the requirements of the ducklings for raising environmental conditions brought by the pro-agricultural network. I hope it can help you. If you want to know more about raising ducks, please pay attention to the pro-agricultural network.
