Fat-headed fish, also known as bighead carp, is a popular breeding project at present. one is that the nutritional value of fat-headed fish is very high, and the meat is very delicate, and the second is that fat-headed fish have a relatively large head, which is very suitable for Steamed Fish Head with Diced Hot Red Peppers and stewed fish head soup. third, the meat on the fish's head is delicious and has the highest nutritional value, and finally, the market sales of fat-headed fish are very considerable. So many people have begun to raise fat-headed fish, so today the pro-agricultural network will teach you how to raise fat-headed fish.

1. Culture conditions

Before raising fat-headed fish, we need to meet the conditions for the survival of fat-headed fish. First of all, we need to prepare a large pond with at least five mu. Secondly, the pond cannot be frozen with cement, preferably clay, and the pool must contain silt. But the amount of mud should not be too much, about 15 centimeters or so. Fat-headed fish have relatively strict requirements for water quality, so there should be sufficient water sources to facilitate water exchange. There can be no pollution sources around. Finally, before releasing the fish fry, we have to clean up the fish pond and then sterilize it with lime before releasing the water into the pool.

2. Fish fry selection

Since we want to raise fish, then we must choose fry with strong vitality and good ability to adapt and reproduce, so how to select high-quality fry? First of all, we have to observe whether the scales on the body are injured, and the second is to observe their foraging after putting in the bait. The more active ones are, the healthier ones are. Finally, the fry are put in a basin without water. The more serious the struggle is, the stronger the desire for survival is and the stronger the ability to adapt to the environment, so we have to screen the fry through many aspects.

3. Pond management

First of all, we need to sprinkle some organic fertilizer on the fish ponds in winter and spring, so as to ensure the fertility of the fish ponds, and there will be more rich creatures in the water, so that the fat-headed fish will have more food. Secondly, the fat-headed fish has higher requirements for water quality, unlike other fish that only need to change the water once a year, while the fat-headed fish basically need to add new water to it in half a month. Only in this way can we ensure the basic water quality requirements of the fat-headed fish, and we have to set up a fence around the pond to prevent the fat-headed fish from escaping in case of heavy rain. Finally, after the harvest, we need to clean the pond once a year, and then stocking, so as to ensure the yield.

4. Feeding and management

Raising fat-headed fish is also a very important step if it wants to be high-yield. although fat-headed fish in nature mainly feed on small fish, shrimp and some plankton, artificial culture can not provide it with enough natural food. because the area of the pond is already limited, there is naturally less plankton that can be provided, so we need to feed some nutritious and digestible feed. For example, wheat bran, fine bran, various kinds of cakes and special bighead carp formula feed can be fed about three times a day, the bait dosage should be sufficient, otherwise the phenomenon of predation will occur, resulting in relatively weak fat-headed fish being hurt and causing unnecessary losses.

5. Disease control

The immunity of the fat-headed fish is very good, generally speaking, it will not get sick under the correct feeding conditions and methods, but some special cases are excluded, such as the water quality is polluted and the water can be treated in time for water change. this will cause the fat-headed fish to be infected with bacteria and enter some parasites in the body, affecting the quality of the fat-headed fish, so we should first observe carefully and change the water in time once we find it. The second is to sprinkle sterilization and insecticide into the pool for prevention and control. But it should not be overdone, because the fat-headed fish may inhale the drug into the body, increasing the mortality rate, and the loss outweighs the gain.
