Mackerel is a unique fish in China, wild species can be found everywhere in China, is a kind of herbivorous fish, but also eat a small amount of lake bottom plants and zooplankton. Mackerel has the effect of tonifying deficiency and dispelling wind, and has some obvious diseases to prevent anemia, hypoglycemia and other diseases. it belongs to public food and can be eaten by ordinary people with delicious meat. And with high fat content, it is one of the more common species in our daily life. Let's take a look at how to raise mackerel with Xiaobian.

1. Stocking preparation

When choosing stocking ponds, you should choose adequate water sources and clean and clear water. It is convenient to drain and change water, and there is no pond where domestic sewage is discharged. There should be micro-sand and mud at the bottom of the pool. The area is determined according to the stocking quantity, the depth of pond water shall not be less than 2 meters, and it is appropriate to have little or no silt. In preparation for stocking, quicklime is used to sprinkle the entire pond in order to kill potential pathogens and other wild small fish in the pond and reduce the incidence of disease and the occurrence of wild fish grazing for food. Then expose the pond to the sun for a week, inject at least one meter of clean water, and then release fish fry.

2. Fish fry restocking

The selection of fish fry is also a more important step when cultivating mackerel. First of all, we should choose small fry with no wound on the surface, good growth, strong physique and full body. Control the specification at about 8-225px, soak it in salt water or potassium permanganate solution and put it into the pond. When raising mackerel, there is not only one kind of mackerel in the pond, but a small amount of bighead carp, crucian carp and other mixed breeding. Generally, the breeding density of one mu pond is about 1200, and then put in about 100 bighead carp and about 300 crucian carp. This can promote the good growth of mackerel.

3. Feeding and management

Mackerel is a kind of fish that likes clean and clear water very much. the transparent water quality of the pond should be kept at about 30-1000px, there is an appropriate amount of dissolved oxygen, and the PH value is controlled at about 7. Because it is easy to fatten the water quality when feeding, old water should be pumped out regularly every week to inject new water. Keep the pond deep and clear. Feed should be put on a regular basis, including peanut bran, wheat husk and green fodder, and the specific amount of feed should be determined according to the weather and feeding conditions of each month. The amount of input is generally increased from May to October.

3. Daily management

Every day to develop a reasonable management and technical system, adhere to inspection, at least twice a day in the morning and evening, to observe the growth and feeding of fish. If abnormal phenomena are found, corresponding measures must be taken in time to increase oxygen for the pond, and special attention should be paid to the weather, water quality and their activities. Avoid the phenomenon of floating heads in schools of fish, ensure the depth and clarity of the water in the fish ponds, change the water at the right time, and create a good growth environment for mackerel. And although the disease resistance of mackerel is relatively strong, it is still necessary to give priority to prevention. Cleaning ponds and disinfecting fish fry before release can effectively reduce the incidence of fish disease.

The above is a brief introduction to mackerel aquaculture. When you breed mackerel, you can't do it like other domestic fish. The culture methods of mackerel are different. Domestic fish is not very strict on water quality, but the mackerel is different, the mackerel needs to have a very clean and clear water quality, so that the mackerel can grow and develop better.
