Shad is now a relatively precious fish species, they generally live near the estuary, but in China is mainly in the lower reaches of the Yangtze River, it and puffer fish, swordfish are known as the Yangtze River three fresh, but now the shad in the Yangtze River is also very rare, and because the shad has more spines, but because the shad is famous and rare, so the price and demand are very considerable Artificial cultivation of shad has been carried out in some areas, so let's follow the pro-agriculture network to see how the shad, one of the three delicacies of the Yangtze River, is cultured.

1. Culture preparation

As the shad has high requirements for water quality and other living environment, we need to make full preparations before breeding in order to preserve the growth of the shad. First of all, we need to choose a place close to the water source to build a good fish pond, the area of the pond is controlled at about five mu, and the second is that the water quality of the water source should be guaranteed and pollution-free. Then prepare an oxygen enhancer or an oxygen supply machine, which can increase the oxygen content in the fish pond and let the shad adapt to the environment more quickly. In addition, it is necessary to disinfect and sterilize with quicklime and bleach, and finally pour an appropriate amount of biological bait into the pond. A week later, ten fish fry of different sizes can be put into the fish pond to test the water, and no abnormality can be used for fish fry stocking.

2. Fish fry restocking

The water depth in the fish pond should be about 1.5 meters, the temperature when stocking should be about 22 to 32 degrees Celsius, and if an appropriate amount of oxygen is added to the water, about 1500 fish can be kept per mu, then at least 7, 000 fish fry are needed in the five-acre fish pond. as the shad has high requirements for water quality, we have to put a small amount of giant fish or other fish in the water. This can regulate the water quality to a certain extent and provide a certain amount of food for the shad.

3. Feeding and management

Shad is an omnivorous fish, but it is mainly fed with plant feed, followed by plankton in the water and some small fish and shrimp, so we can plant some water chestnut and lotus root in the fish pond. this can not only play the role of purifying water quality, but also provide food for them, but also put some small fish and shrimp in the pool, which can promote the growth of shad. In addition, it should be noted that when raising shad, its feeding is also divided into stages. In spring, we have to put in a lot of feed, because it has a large appetite during this period and needs to replenish food constantly. It needs to be reduced slowly in summer, and then in autumn, it only needs to put in feed during the day, while in winter, it basically does not need a lot of feed, because it only feeds at noon. And you can't eat too much in winter, it's easy to accumulate food.

4. Prevention and treatment of fish diseases

The main diseases and insect pests of shad are Gill rot disease, parasites and so on. Gill rot disease is visible to the naked eye. In the usual feeding process, we should carefully observe whether the shad gills turn white or rot, and we can sprinkle them with bleach and chlorine dioxide. The parasite is mainly rotifer, which lives on the skin or Gill of fish and can be prevented by the mixture of copper sulfate and ferrous phosphate.
