Sturgeon is a kind of Sturgeon-shaped fish. China is the country with the widest distribution, the most species and the most abundant resources of Sturgeon. But the Sturgeon mentioned by the editor is either the national protected animal, the Chinese Sturgeon, or the ordinary Sturgeon. Sturgeon is very large in size after adulthood, and its general weight can reach 68-250kg. Now the area of artificial culture is getting wider and wider, so what should we pay attention to when raising Sturgeon? Let's take a look at it.

1. Pond conditions

Because the adult Sturgeon is very large, so the pond area of Sturgeon culture also needs to be relatively large, the pond needs to have deeper water to ensure adequate water, the water quality is clean and clear without pollution. Ponds should be kept away from noisy places such as residential areas, factories and major roads as far as possible. However, it is also necessary to ensure convenient transportation and convenient communication. in general, the area of the pond is determined by the number of aquaculture, but it is usually about 5-10 mu, and the water level is generally about 3 meters, ensuring stable water quality, and there is a higher value of dissolved oxygen in the water. set up independent inlets and oxygen-increasing equipment to prevent pond hypoxia.

2. Clear the pond and disinfect

15 days before seedling release, put the water from the pond into the 20cm, mix it with quicklime and then sprinkle the whole pond to thoroughly disinfect the pond and eliminate the toxic substances in the water. Then soak the pond for about three days to drain the water, then soak the bottom of the pond with water, and filter it with sieve silk at the inlet and outlet. Then use tea seed cake to clean and disinfect the pond. before disinfection, break the tea seed cake and soak it in water for 24 hours and sprinkle it all over the pond, which can not only kill the fish and shrimp in the pond, but also can be used as fertilizer. Ten days before seedling release, deepen the water in the pond to about 80 cm and disinfect it with chlorine-containing disinfectant.

3. Seedling stocking

When stocking fish fry, it is necessary to choose disease-free and healthy Sturgeon fry, preferably above 20cm, and the breeding density is generally 500tails per mu. When stocking, we should consider whether the water temperature is suitable, and also consider the time when Sturgeon is on the market after adulthood. If the seedlings need to be transported, they should stop feeding the seedlings about 2 days before transportation. Test the water before releasing the seedlings, put the Sturgeon fry of the same specification in the cage, and then observe their growth activities, if there is no abnormal situation, they can be stocked. However, you need to put the fry in a bag and then put it into the pond to adapt to the temperature of the water.

4. Daily management

To often observe the growth of Sturgeon in the pond, at least three times a day, pay special attention to inspection at night and early in the morning, pay attention to the activity of each fish, to prevent them from hypoxia. In summer, because it is a rainy season and the air pressure is relatively low, it is necessary to strengthen pond patrol and find any problems to be dealt with in a timely manner. For example, hypoxia requires the use of an aerator to add oxygen to the pond, or to add new water to prevent flooding. Check the growth and health of Sturgeon regularly, and adjust the feeding amount and density appropriately.

These are the matters that need to be paid attention to when breeding Sturgeon, we need to have a certain degree of financial resources and patience, the economic value of Sturgeon is relatively high. The method of breeding Sturgeon is also relatively simple, but we need to pay attention to the occurrence of diseases and insect pests, Sturgeon disease is more difficult to find, I hope you can have a correct management method.
