When the water temperature drops below 12 degrees, the food intake of puffer fish decreases significantly. When the water temperature reaches 10 degrees, the puffer fish basically will not eat, at this time to stop feeding and increase the appropriate water temperature. When throwing food, we should let the puffer fish eat well and fish out the remaining bait in time to prevent water pollution.

2. Water quality management

When raising puffer fish, when high-density overwintering work is needed in winter, the water quality of the pond should be maintained and sterilized water should be used for overwintering as far as possible. It also says that if the water temperature is right, the puffer fish can still eat, so it still needs bait. When overwintering, all the water in the pond should be changed and oxygenated continuously. When the water temperature is too low, the puffer fish will stop feeding, when the water exchange can be reduced to about 20% of the pool water, intermittent oxygenation, at least half an hour at a time, the interval is also half an hour. Timely oxygenation every night to prevent puffer fish from asphyxiation due to lack of oxygen.

3. Prevention and treatment of fish diseases

Fish disease is one of the most troublesome problems in the process of breeding, especially when it is overwintering, because the density of puffer fish is too high, so it is very prone to disease. Disinfect the fish before releasing it to remove parasites and germs from the body surface of the fish. Prevent injury during growth, infect the wound, and give bacteria a chance to invade. When overwintering, we should give priority to prevention, generally every half a month, we need to disinfect the surface with antibiotics and other drugs, and find that the sick fish should be fished out in time and treated in isolation to prevent the spread of fish disease.

4. pour the pool and change the water.

Changing water in the pond can reduce the amount of waste and bacteria produced by the metabolism of puffer fish in the water, and improve the growing environment of puffer fish. The dumping of the pond is beneficial to the periodic comprehensive disinfection of the fish pond and the removal of pests and parasites in the pond. Improving the environment of pond water can effectively reduce the incidence of fish disease and improve their survival rate during overwintering.
