Herring, as one of the four major domestic fish in China, is mainly distributed in the south of the Yangtze River Basin in China, and is the main breeding object in lakes and ponds. As a traditional breeding species, herring has been favored by consumers in the market. So how can herring be cultured in order to achieve high yield? Let's take a look at the detailed introduction of the pro-agricultural network.

1. Pond preparation

The main culture method of herring is pond culture, which requires adequate water source, clean water quality, moderate area, should not be too large, the water depth should be kept at about 2.5 meters, the pond should be flat, less silt, and will not leak and seep. Before releasing seedlings, you want to empty the water and remove too much silt and sundries from the pond. After half a month of freezing and sun exposure, add 20-30cm of water, then sprinkle the whole pool with lime powder. After two or three days of disinfection, filter and inject water to the water level of 1-1.5m. In addition, several aerators and bait machines should be prepared, which can increase oxygen in time and prevent death due to lack of oxygen.

2. Release seedlings

First of all, the fry should be selected before release, and the fry with good mental state, strong vitality, no disease, no damage to the body surface and large food intake should be selected, and the size and specification difference of the fry should not exceed 3cm as far as possible, otherwise it is easy to cause the phenomenon of grabbing food during breeding and the feeding amount can not be mastered well. After the toxicity of the disinfectant is eliminated, the fry can be released to prevent other fish fry from mixing. The best time to release the fry is from January to February, because the water temperature is low and the scales of the fry are tight, which is not easy to cause body surface loss. The mixed culture mode can be adopted when releasing seedlings, which can be cultured together with bighead carp and silver carp. Silver carp and bighead carp can improve the bottom quality, benefit water quality management and promote the growth of herring.

3. Feed feeding

Feed is very important for herring to grow fast and well. Choose a synthetic pellet feed with a crude protein content of more than 30%. When feeding, you can build a feeding table, domesticate herring to float and grab food, and feed less and more when feeding. Make sure the herring is full and estimate its food intake. After successful domestication, regular and quantitative feeding can be achieved, and then the feeding amount will be increased gradually according to the growth of herring. It is important to note that it is not appropriate to feed too much at one time, so as not to cause indigestion. In the peak growing season, herring can appropriately increase the number of daily feeding to promote its rapid growth.

4. Daily management

When breeding, one inspection should be made every morning and evening to check the water quality and the growth of the fish. The water quality should be regularly added and changed, and the water quality should reach the requirements of bottom fertilizer, activity, tenderness and coolness. Generally, the water color is green and the transparency is 50-60cm. The herring grows rapidly in summer, when the food intake and activity of the herring are increased, but the high temperature environment is easy to cause hypoxia, so it is necessary to pay attention to the status of dissolved oxygen in the water body in summer, turn on the aerator in time to dissolve oxygen, and do a good job of disinfection.

The above are the high-yield herring culture techniques brought by the pro-agricultural network. I hope it can help you. If you want to know more about fish culture, please pay attention to the pro-agricultural network.
